I think the Ravens may be the one team we can win a shoot-out against. I think our chances are better if we're playing Flacco than if we're playing Ray Rice.

Ray Rice means they'll out "Texans" us. Ball control, steady scoring, good defense. If we can get a lead, early, force Flacco to take over, they are more apt to make mistakes.

I hope I'm wrong and I'll say this now: we beat the Ravens in Baltimore and we are going to the Superbowl. We get over that hurdle, and we will demolish whoever in the AFC championship. But I don't see how we get outta Baltimore with a win. Might take Foster for 200+ (against the freaking Ravens) and an unbelievable game and some Wade Phillips magic. I don't think Yates has ever seen pressure like Baltimore will bring next Sunday.

One more point. I've noticed in the internet age many sports fans, more than I would have thought, call themselves greatness because they have the front office moves down pat. Funny, turns out that's all they know.

Those same people who think they know football end up on the GameDay Thread saying crap like "if we can't get a yard here we don't deserve to win."

[I saw this agaist Pittsburgh (for example) and screamed agaist it, result, Houston wasn't the same after that -- thanks to that stupid *******ing call] Week 1, Houston at Pittsburgh, 4th and 1, midfield......The correct call would be..............?......don't ask the average football fan.

Yeah, I get that way sometimes. Baseball fans aren't nearly as stupid (outside of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Dallas).
 
It has been a great season, but I think that a playoff game with a 3rd string QB, against the Ravens, in Baltimore, in very cold weather - will be the end of the road.

We are going to have to score TDs to win. The cold weather is going to dampen Rackers' ability.

Didn't we beat Jacksonville & Tennessee with Yates on the road?

Trust, this game is not about Tj vs the Batlimore defense. It will be on Foster & the OL to make the game... Tj is just a squirrel making the most of his limited opportunities. If Foster & the OL take over this game, there will be some big opportunities for Yates & with Andre, OD, & Dressen & Walter..... it will be easier for him to make those plays instead of mistakes.

We beat Jacksonville and they are one of the worst teams in the league. We beat Tennessee on the road with Schaub.

I meant Jacksonville & Cincinnati on the road...... Tj Yates vs two of the better defenses in the NFL.

I think it wasn't too long ago when the Ravens said the same thing with rookie QB Joe Flacco under center.

It wasn't that long ago when the Jets said the same thing with a rookie QB under center.

Flacco was 11 of 22 for 148 yards when he (as a rookie) beat the Tennessee Titans to advance to the AFC Championship game in 2009.
On the day Flacco was 11-of-22 for 148 yards and a touchdown, without turning the ball over for the second straight game. He is the first rookie quarterback to win two playoff games.[12]

Of course. But the thread asked for a prediction, and we are getting to an advanced level in the playoffs.

And I don't appreciate arrogance about us smashing others' QBs into the ground when ours are going down on QB sneaks and normal sacks. The Ravens have a tough front 7. If TJ is as fragile as our first 2 QBs then our o- line better be on its game or we are going to be playing Jake.
 
I'd love for the score to be 35-7 Texans but that might be a bit unrealistic so it will probably be 24-17 for the good guys! :):fans:
 
I'll go with 20 -17 Texans... the homer in me envisions a smackdown by the Texans, but what's left of my logical mind after ingesting the kool-aid leans to the cautious side.
 
I'm going with 24-20, Texans win!
