Yeah the 6-0 start seemed awfully weird to me, but aside from the Colts game we should be able to handle all the other games. I just gave the Colts one to us, as well. I see us starting well and ending well, with some tough road games in the middle.

Concerning the loss in Oakland, I think they might catch you guys by surprise. This is taking into consideration that Gradkowski is the starter. Also, the Raiders don't have the most difficult schedule out there, and I imagine they will be on a 2 game winning streak when the Texans come to Oakland. Of course if Jamarcus is still the QB, no need to worry. I've also been hearing that Davis is very high on Clausen, so you guys might be facing him when you come to the Bay.

This is 9-7, but that's just initial reaction. Hopefully this team can change my mind during draft weekend. I still see us having a hard time winning more than 10 games though, especially with this schedule.

That's 19.1 points per game on defense, which would have landed us right in the #5-10 range last year. We better be drafting some combination of CB/DT/S in the 1st and at least 2 more in the 2nd-4th to be able to pull that off.

That's what I'm thinking also. the only thing good about that schedule is we get a decent bye.
 
8 of our final 9 games are against teams who were in the wildcard hunt last year. If we don't make the playoffs, its on us this team. Almost every game we have is meaningful

I think we start off strong and lose a few in the middle of the season then 2 more at the end of the season. We're a second half of the season team so its really important we get off to a go start.

We always start out slow, PLUS we'll have a rookie CB going up against Peyton Manning. This sounds like a guaranteed problem.

9/19 – @ Washington 3pm W
I think we catch a break getting Washington so early in the season. They'll still be transitioning.

9/26 – Dallas @ Home Noon on Fox W
Could go either way, really. Dallas is a good team, but we'll match up well since we will have played them in the preseason week 3.

10/3 - @ Oakland 3pm W
We play them very poorly almost every time, but we usually still win. No reason to see the trend stop.

10/10 – NY Giants @ Home Noon W
This team finished last season 3-8. They start fast. It could go either way, but since its at home, I think we'll win.

10/17 – Chiefs @ Home Noon W
This team improved last year, but they are still coming off a 4-12 season.

10/24 – Bye

11/1 - @ Indy MNF 7pm L
Going into Indy is almost a guaranteed loss. However its coming off a bye week AND a monday night game, so we should be extra prepared. Could go either way.

11/7 – San Diego @ Home Noon L
San Diego always finishes strong. They also run the type of D that gives us problems, and have a good passing attack.

11/14 - @ Jax Noon L
We always have competitive games with Jacksonville. Smart money is on us splitting, so I'll give them the home tarp advantage.

11/21 - @ jets Noon L
The Jets are just too improved in my opinion. Unless Sanchez takes a major step bck, I see them being one of the premier teams in the AFC this season.

11/28 – Tennessee @ home Noon W
I think we'll split with Tennessee again. Maybe CJ will be tired by this point in the season and we'll have learned how not to give up 300 yarders.

12/2 - @ Philly – Thursday nite 7pm W
I dont think Philly is going to be that good this year. Maybe Im wrong, but I see us winning.

The stench of fear needs to be lifted ASAP. We finished second in the South last year and earned this schedule. Expectations are high due to results and talent, and thankfully we have the schedule to show folks we are in the playoff conversation as long as we take care of business.

Only problem I have with this statement is yes we finished second, by virtue of our overall record, not our pathetic 1-5 division record.

Some people call it fear others might call it keeping expectations realistic.

Is anyone else having a hard time calling the Washington game? I just have a bad feeling about it. On paper it should be an easy W, but Kyle helped design the offensive gameplans before and they're going to be greatly improved at QB. They also run a 3-4.

Realistically, every one of those games was a one score game. And CB at least and likely KB won't be returning for encore performances.

I wouldn't have called it an easy W but I wouldn't worry about the familiarity of the coaches with each other. Last time Shanahan and Kubiak met the Texans walked away with a 31-13 win.

Is anyone else having a hard time calling the Washington game? I just have a bad feeling about it. On paper it should be an easy W, but Kyle helped design the offensive gameplans before and they're going to be greatly improved at QB. They also run a 3-4.
