I know that they are a hated rival of ours, but I'm starting to feel for them with all the abuse that the city is taking during the Superbowl. I know they can't compete with Houston, but there is no reason for the media is saying. They are riping the buildings, the people, and even today on the radio, they were ripping the strip clubs.

Just because a city isn't all ritzy like Vegas, doesn't mean it has some good features or people in it.
 
Pfft media. If they don't like it, they can always give me their tickets and passes.
 
Jacksonville is raking in the revenue that a Super Bowl generates (around $300 million?). With that kind of cash coming in, they can take a little abuse.
 
For the great Super Bowl Houston put on, there was plenty of negative press about our city last year also. Ripping on everyone and everything seems to come with the job for those guys.
 
Next year they come to Detroit

Unless you gamble, there isn't a thing to do.

When they complain here, it will be with good reason.

only if you pay extra. That's a pretty good idea though. Wanna go halfsies on a partnership to open up gent's club w/ D/S lookalikes. There's a market for everything you know.
 
Every radio personality I have heard that is in Jacksonville for the game are trying there best to paint a good picture about the city and it's people, but you can tell they just want to rip the place.
 
The best thing about Jacksonville.....You can charter a pretty decent deep sea fishing trip. I did it in 1995. We went out and caught some pretty nice fish. Saw one 10' hammer head shark as well. Other than that, Jacksonville didn't impress me much at all. But what do you expect? I'm from Houston! :texanprid
