Please, let's get Moss to solve our problems

I really, really hope we draft Sinorice Moss. Someday he will be a great player and I am hoping it will be for us. With our #2 WR right now being Kevin Walter, it's obvious we need a #2 WR and Sinorice could really help us there. If he falls to us with #33 we draft him, if not I think we should trade up into the late first to get him. I think AJ and Moss would make a great duo.

Not likely to happen. He would be a consideration at #33 depending on who else is available but I think they will look to fill a different hole and get a WR in the 3rd or 4th round. Moss is fast and had a pretty nice Senior Bowl, but he hasn't proven a whole lot throughout his college career and doesn't have the surest hands in the world, so I'm not sure how much I like him as our #2 WR, and I don't know if he'd even fall to us at #33 anyways.

Ah, the hype of santana moss.

Go look at the stats of his best season, and then realize this is the guy you say will solve your problems. If his name wasn't Moss, no one would care about him.

Look at the Broncos over the years and you will see that the #2 WR in that system isn't used any more than the backs and tight ends. Walter may be our McCaffrey and we may not need a Reggie Wayne.

nah! especially under coach Kubes, a wr won't be drafted until the late rounds if at all,
plus wr in 06 draft not good/deep, we could prob draft one next season if lets say we pick at 20 next year
our offense is already gonna be a running offense, so for right now we don't need a wr we need o-line/and DB/FS/MLB/DE
IMO it would be smarter to get our #2 WR this year in the second round. So next year we can go Defense or oline in the first round instead of still having to draft a WR.

Don't let your jaw break when it hits the floor, but Kubes might just get his #2 receiver with the 1st pick overall.

His name is Reggie Bush.

Carr at QB, DD at HB, Cook at FB, Putz at TE, AJ on one side, RB on the other?

Denver has had Rod Smith and Ashlie Lelie for years. While Lelie isnt a great player, he is a very solid #2 WR.

you just ranked a #2 receiver above both offensive line & defense (both of which were worst in football last year). who needs offense & defense when we draft jabar gaffney! that's just silly.

nah in round two is where we need to pick up an offensive tackle like scott or winston...maybe a top corner if someone surprisely drops...picking up a receiver next year is probably the better bet when you look at the class that's coming in with dwayne jarrett of usc, calvin johnson from gtech, steve smith of usc, jarrett hicks of t.tech, joel falani of t.tech, ted ginn of osu, todd blythe iowa state, and of course jeff Samardzija from notre dame...any of these guys are just as good as chad jackson or for the most part better than him next year is gonna be one heck of a class for wr

No I was saying we should draft a # 2 WR this year so we can use our FIRST round pick and all the other picks in the draft next year on defense and oline.

Instead of using our second round pick on defense or oline this year and draft a WR in the first round next year. Thank You

either moss or jackson hopefully one of those will slip to the second when we pick we desperately need a number two in my opinion to get A.J a better chance to exploit defenses.

Why not Mike Hass at 3rd Round? He is a really good WR. Greatest hands in this draft, can get open, good size. I think Mike Hass will be our good #2 WR.

we're not even to training camp yet in a brand new offense, why would you assume we'd need have to use a first on a WR next year? this is an incredibly weak WR draft. we've already got 3 relative unknowns trying out for the job, and are most likely bringing in bush also. we've got holes across the board and have a lot of work to do in need positions. maybe i missed the arguement, but guessing that a 2nd rounder in a weak draft is going to come in and make any significance when there's much better talent available at need positions doesnt make sense to me.

I'm well aware of who Denver's #1 and #2 WRs are. I'm also well aware of who they were before Lelie. That's why I said what I did (that the #2 WR in that system isn't used any more than the backs and tight ends). '98 is the only year where you can argue legitimately against that point (when McCaffrey went over 1000). Lelie has fewer career receptions than Jabar Gaffney in the same length of career.

Chad Jackson, or Santonio Holmes may be there at #33. However ideally I would like to get either E. Winston, M. Mcneil or M.J. Gilles.

If you will look at my first post I qouted somebody who said we should draft a WR with our first round pick in 07. I said we should draft one this year so we can use our first round pick on something else. As of right now the Texans have AJ a legit #1 WR and three #4 WRs Walter, Armstrong, and Mathis. IMO all three can be very good as our #3 WR but I dont see them being successful as our #2. So I dont see how a #2 WR isnt a need.
