Watching the Bengals-Pittsburgh game... does the clock not stop when a player goes out of bounds? I just took for granted this was always the case, but they are running off like 10 seconds on plays where the Bengals receiver went out of bounds (drive with 530 left 4th quarter). Is the clock just restarted when the ball is set, or is it only the last two minutes of the game or something? I really thought it was just a given the clock was stopped untill the snap.

I didn't catch it (reading the boards). The clock stops when the player goes out of bounds. Sometimes, though, the play is deemed dead in bounds even when you see the players out of bounds.

Im pretty sure I know what play you are talking about and I agree it should have been stopped. No one forced him out of bounds and he went out on his own free will so I thought it should have been stopped also
