Playoffs 2023 season: Super Bowl LVIII

I dunno what are the factors which have the desert favoring the 49ers over the Chiefs ?

More $$$ went on the Niners when the line was -1.5.

The Niners outscored their opponents by 11.5 ppg over the course of the season.. The Chiefs outscored their opponents by 4.5 ppg. The Mahomes factor is why this spread is as close as 2.5 points.

I guess you are saying here that the -1.5 is not the collective sentiment of the voting public at a certain point in time, but primarily a number or discount, an inducement to stimulate betting activity ?

49ers 11.5 ppg & Chiefs 4.5 ppg with a 2.5 MaHomes factor ?
Sorry man but you will need to step up your explanation here to make sense to me about what you are trying say ?

That's not what I'm saying. What I am saying is that the initial line put out led to more money on the Niners. The line was pushed up to 2.5 points to get even money on both sides.

I've done enough.

Just doing offense position by position, IMO, favors the Niners.

QB - I want to say Mahomes but that’s mainly based on reputation. Purdy had a better season statistically.

RB - Easily CMC. And the run game in general is even better if/when Deebo gets involved.

WR - Top 2 Aiyuk and Samuel vs. the rookie Rice and ???

TE - Kelce had nearly 30 more catches but Kittle wiped the board in everything else. Yards - #1 for TEs, 15.7 YPR was #1 for TEs and 12th for all receivers. And he had 1 more TD than Kelce. I’d call that position a wash at the very least, slightly favoring Frisco.

OL - I’m not down with PFF grades but Trent Williams and some JAGs vs Joe Thuney and Creed Humphrey. Might lean KC there but both units have been good.

Haven’t really dove into the defenses yet but the Niners led the league in INTs and Mahomes had the 4th most picks this season.

Bosa, Hargrave and Warner are strong in the front 7 with KC countering with Jones and Karlaftis. Them losing Omenihu hurts a little.

Both pretty solid defensively though SF has been a little leaky lately allowing 23.2 points per game in their last 5 to the Chiefs allowing 14 points per game in their last 5, including shutting down the high flying Dolphins and Lamar the likely MVP this year.

OK TY that's a much better effort than your first try as this now makes sense to me, actually it's even plausible.

Very impressive Speedy as you do make a solid case for the 49ers here.

Chiefs won it last year. Tough to go back to back. Not impossible, however. Last occurence was the Pats in 2003 and 2004 seasons.

Not betting a penny but if I did, the Niners are due, IMO...

Other than it's the last NFL game for a while, I'm not that interested. Hopefully 49s win.

Oh wow McCaffrey was ripping off what seemed like 10 yards per carry but coughs it up just beyond the 50!

Safety did a terrible job to allow the big pass play...
But Pacheco fumbles in red zone!
