With all due respect to Mr.Mcnair....he needs to pull the trigger now. Not tomorrow, not 15 games from now , but now! Its not that heads need to roll as others have stated , but that changes in attitude from losing to winning need to be established. :brickwall The only way that can be done is to change your coaches out now. They do not work well for THIS team. And for christs sake....get Carr some protection before he really gets hurt.
 
who you gonna replace him with? its gonna be diff to get teams to let you talk to their offensive and defensive cordinators during the season. we could replace him with one of our cordinators but they havent been looking to great either. put in an interm coach but you wouldnt want to change much because the new coach will have to change everything as soon as he gets here. might as well give this bunch the rest of the year and see what they can do.
 
jimmy johnson for head coach..ummmmm cant think of a better choice,but then we need off cord,lets see any 5a coach can do better than palmer
 
There's no way anyone is pulled before the end of the season. The only chance would be an interim coach, but no one wants either of our coordinators to be the head coach either.
 
:soapbox: This is exactley what I'm saying...make the change now. This way they get all the details straightened out by the start of next year.

As for now ANYONE is better than these goofballs. They remind me of the STOOGES...Capers= Shemp, Palmer= Curly, and Cass= Moe.....But at least Moe took charge of things. :tomato:
 
Ride out the season and then get Gruden or Holmgren maybe in my wildest dreams Jimmie Johnson but he looks really comfortable behind the desk.
 
Dump Capers and let Hoke take the reigns for the rest of the season. Dump the cordinators at the end of the season. If Hoke shows promise give him the job. If it is too much for him to handle ask him to be the dc and offer the head coaching job to Kirk Ferentz. We can find an oc that can design plays that utilize our players strengths better than Palmer.
 
I just hope Bob starts to realize that his team is at a crossroads and he needs to make some kind of decision now as to what direction to go in.
 
umm are we talking about the same jimmy johnson that claimed he wasn't a good coach just a great talent evaluator? thats just what we need a talent evaluator is there a spot in the front office for that....... oh im not touching barry switzer with a 10 foot pole, the guy is a has been...
