Plans for the draft?

For a few years I have asked what your plans are for the three days we have looked forward to. Same old for you or changes? Mine will be about same; TV and computer on from wake up until probably about midnight. Easy meals that do not interfere and no visitors. I have been known to not answer the door after I could not get rid of an unexpected visitor a few years ago. The old legal pad with tons of notes and evals plus a new one to fill as days pass with a spare just in case.

The 2012 draft was pretty hard on me as I did not want Posey so hope this one flows a bit easier on my stress levels. I purchased new TV about 3 weeks ago so I hope the selections do not put it into danger zone.

What are your plans?

What are your plans?

Well, I was holding off on saying but now that you bring it up...

I'll be on a plane flying to Denver for my niece's college graduation during the majority of the 1st round.

I'll be too busy with her celebrations to do any informational posting or monitoring of the wires at all.

Needless to say I'm a bit crushed, after all the time I've put into prepping for this our most important draft. But family is family and I'll stand by her.

So I expect to see the rest of you draft nutz like me  picking up the slack in my absence. Hopefully I'll be home for Round 3, but that's up in the air. Go Texans!

her college couldn't delay for a silly week? Seriously, tell her congrats and you check in when you can. There will be tons of info and comments flowing here at TT.com

I wll be watching day 1-2 on TV. It's much better to keep up with the draft at home rather than at Reliant. Plus the beer is much cheaper at home.

On day 3 we will have our annual crawfish boil. Even though there wont be as many people coming due to the draft date changes. Thanks God'ell. Hope you enjoy your sweeps week success.

Thank God'ell for this situation.

On Thursday I will barely get home for the first pick (ours). Good news is that one of the Dallas stations covers the draft pick by pick for three days.

Friday will be at home with adult beverages and trying to keep you cats herded.

Saturday, I will be online will I am tutoring students until 1.

Studying like hell!

...in the morning so I can get away with watching the first round in the evening. :kitten:

I will likely be watching with a bunch of buddies drinking my sorrows away as we make the picks I don't want and don't make the picks I do want as usual.

Hopefully sleeping late and waking around 4pm, a nice dinner out with my wife and then home to watch the 1st round until I have to leave for work at 11pm. I'll watch what I can on Saturday when I wake up, but might be going to the Houston Symphony that evening, not sure yet.

Has anyone heard of vacation :pop:

I'm open for business, cooking, drinking, serious draft talk. Hopefully something exciting to celebrate :yahoo:

Well, since I also have to study for my university finals and since the draft (or at least the first round) starts at 2 am, I guess I won`t be able to really follow it live. I guess I will watch the first pick (or later, if we trade it) and then look up what crazy things happened the next day.

Guys, I'm raising money to send Playoffs a LifeAlert. I'm extremely worried he'll collapse from a lack of draft talk and need emergency help.

I'm going to a local bar to watch it. They said they'd put it on for me and it's a chill place. Luckily I'm DONE with all my finals and stuff! No more collegeeeeee.

Congrats. It's an awesome feeling.

Graveyards :( I'll be at work 5-5 that night. Off Friday-sat-sunday though! Will definitely be beering it up and screaming at Rick Smith as usual, we all think we know what's best, am I right?

Massive changes for me. Things have changed for me this year and I have been unable to devote my usual time for draft prep as I have in the past.

In the past I would have been ready to go from the morning and have my spreadsheets, notes, computer, and TV ready to go. Last year I took off early from work and was home by 630PM. This year, not so much. I have typically been leaving the office between 800-830 nightly and fully expect it to be a similar situation. I am going to try to get updates via computer and then listen to the radio coverage on one of the sports radio channels until I get home. Similar situation for Friday.

I should be able to watch most of the Saturday selections.

You sound really busy.

With Smith making the picks I expect it to be business as usual for the Texans org.

I will be at a graduation ceremony on Thursday night. But I will check in on Friday and Saturday and weigh-in cause I know everyone gives 2 ****s about what I think.

My usual. Kickin back with watching NFLN, jotting every pick on my full draft spreadsheet.

Highly doubt I'll be perusing these boards while the draft is going on. I don't like knee-jerk reactions very much. But, I'm sure I'll see some Friday while I'm here at work.

I'll be at my son's football practice (spring football) 6-7:30. We'll make it home just in time for the Texans' pick :)
