I never said or even implied such a belief.
I'm neither a Patriots defender nor a Patriots hater. My attitude is to be as pragmatic and objective as possible. They are certainly guilty of some things, but I'm not buying that they are guilty of all things. Success breeds contempt, and with their amount of success over the past 15 years, I'm seeing a lot of rush to judgments that simply lack credibility. To what degree is debatable, but I'm not jumping on a bandwagon for either side.
Those teams are not as clean as you seem to believe:
Bill Parcells still thinks Bill Walsh cheated during 1980s playoffs
Above story is about communication equipment being tampered with. Go figure. History repeats itself.
And let's not forget the "Greatest WR Ever" admitting to using a banned substance on his hands.
And how about this one?
More NFL cheating? Joe Montana admits San Francisco 49ers used silicon spray
That 49er legacy not so shiny now, 'eh?
And now the Steelers:
Pittsburgh Steelers ranked as ‘Elite Cheaters’ in new report
How impressive are the Steelers championships when the team was full of steroid abusers? Oh right, it was "legal" but that does not make it ethical.
Then look up "Tarpgate" in which the Steelers purposefully tampered with the field itself.
Speaking of "Spygate", Bill Cowher admitted that his Steelers teams stole opponents' defensive signals.
It is all forms of cheating. I'm not saying any of it is right, but this is nothing new under the sun.
