Pictures from todays practice...

What you don't see are the camera crews up on JLGs at each end of the field. They are getting overhead shots of everything that goes on. The beanies show up well on film - unlike a beani-less helmet or a number on a back when a player turns. It helps the coaches track those key players later when they are breaking down film. Usually you only see this on special teams drills.

This picture clearly shows that the Texans offseason moves have been too costly as they can not afford helments for all the players with this type of poor managment I don't see how we can win any games.
Now THAT is the funniest thing I've read in a while. Keep up the good reporting.:heh:

Those are Cowboy colors. The yellow is for the way they play and the red is for the way they feel after we win.

I just can't help being amazed he is only 22. Or is he 21?
Mario was born 1/31/1985.
Thanks for all the pics TexansBull, really appreciate them !
By the way, since you been going to the practices, Justice just said on the
radio that he thought Babin had moved ahead of Peek as the weakside starter ?

Go defense! (But don't read too much into this ONE PLAY).

As you can see, Babin is only about halfway through his spin move, but he's already in the backfield, but is he in the RDE spot? I thought he was going to play strongside?

And one for the o-line.

What ever the case is.............Good God ya'll!

That's the same look as the silver bull on the giant scoreboard before the game. I was wondering when that bull would finally get up here.

That picture is proof positive that he still throws the football like a javelin and at a low trajectory. He relies on passing lanes being open when he wants to throw short to medium over the middle. Tipped passes turn into interceptions and 4th downs. He is totally reliant on this and teams know that. This is one of the reason he throws well deep over the middle of the field. It's because he can throw at higher trajectory and the DL cant get to it. When his passing lane isnt open he either a) ducks head or b) dumps the ball off to his RB. Kubiak thinks he can work with it obviously but it doesnt look like he changed any mechanics based on this picture (yes I realize this is just one picture).

Based on the black socks, the shoe size and the position of the hand on the ball I would say this is Rose (18), not Carr. If you will go and look you will find Carr's hands typically are on the back 1/3 of the ball, where as 18 seems to always have his hand on the middle of the ball. You will also find 18 wearing black socks on a number of occasions along with 5.

Maybe Mr. Winston can cure all that.

Maybe in 2007 - I'm not sure throwing rookie o-lineman to the wolves will solve anything. If Winston is better now though......

Of course this is one picture that we can't take "in context".

By the way I saw Mario standing around on some pictures. Was he taking part in the practice, or is he still on the mend?
He should be on the mend, but being the warrior he is, he's still trying to play somewhat...I guess.

Not on this day...
That's not to say that I agree w/ Doug's assesment, however... but it does appear to be DC in that pic.

DC (does have his hand on the back of the ball, however):

The other player playing QB at times is 5 and he is also wearing black socks. However, his socks appear to have some kind of emblem on them. I guess I stand corrected and my old eyes are seeing things. I guess it is Carr. I'm surprised because his hand his usually on the back 1/3 of the ball.

I personally dont care if it is or isnt Carr, or if he is or isnt throwing in a lane or in too low of a trajectory. since Carr's int's were not ever his glaring problem. thats just my oppinion though.
