No matter who we draft, I think the excitement is just begining for the fans.
 
Put this team on the map for something good. Bush is Lebron James of Football. The only sure thing to come out of college in 10 or more years.

That is true that nothing is guaranteed and there is no such thing as a sure thing, but this is as close as it gets for football prospects. Scouts have given him the highest grade seen in many many years.

The Texans had to work hard all season for this milestone. We as Texans fans now have a very valuable commodity the #1 Pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Texans fans should promote as much as possible the extreme & rare value of having the shot @ Reggie Bush without giving up a damn thing expect one terrible, forgetable season. Casserly needs to exact some sweet multi-million dollar deal in the Texans favor. If the worse thing that happens is that we end up with Reggie Bush I could live with that. If the Texans can turn this into addressing several postional upgrades I could live with that too!

The point being people is that we now have the means to turn around this team in the most expeditious manner possible something I think we should all be able to live with :twocents:
 
Already our team is having some national recognition and we haven't even drafted the kid. This is going to do wonders for our team from being played on national television after a 2-14 season to even getting all the calls from the refs.

how do you figure the last one? why would the refs give a rookie, overhyped hot shot just out of college any undistinguishable call?

The only thing that is going to give this team that kind of respect is if we show that we are improving and becoming a legitimate team, and drafting Reggie is not going to do that alone. If anything trading away the pick and gaining four starting-quality players for it will be a bigger command of respect.

Four quality rookies and/or veterans picked up in that trade that will come in and start in positions that we actually need help will do a lot more good for this team than drafting Bush.

Definitely, we should show any prospect that we are willing to support him here. Count me in I'll sign I think Reggie can help this team alot.

Reggie Bush Hands down ... We don't need a quarter back. What we needed was a new coach and we got one. This is the same guy who took Jake "the fake" Plummer and made him into a decent QB. Imagine what he could do with a QB who is already decent?

We need a player like Bush who can make an immediate impact. He can block, run, explode to the outside, and lineup as a wide receiver to help take pressure off of Andre Johnson. Bush is a great pick... get off the Vince Young bandwagon people.

Who wouldn't want the money the #1 spot brings? Almost every guy would play anywhere for that kind of money, I hope this isn't some kind of statement as to why we should draft Vince because it's probably the worst reason I've heard yet if that is the case.
 
I like Bush, I think he will be a good NFL player similar to Brian Westbrook of the Eagles. Nothing more.

Drafting VY is the best move for this team in the long run. He's a winner.
