Peterson or Quinn?

everyone is all over Crowder... it's funny, because crowder has been kind of disappointing his entire career.

Okam & Griffin are the two to watch next year. Look for Okam to go top 5, the guy has tools like dwayne robertson that teams drool over. Griffin is in my mind the best safety in college. hes so good in coverage, and such an amazingly solid tackler. led the horns in tackles last year.

Okam = beast.

guys like crowder are big on everyone's preseason rankings. they expect a breakout season from them. like ryan moore since...well, since he's come to miami.

griffin's gonna have to fight with landry and anthony reddick for best draft-eligible safety this year.

I don't think we will be in the hunt for the #1 pick so I would like them to look at Penn St LB Paul Posluszny...The next coming of Butkus?
Long before he took the field in 2004, Paul Posluszny had established himself as one of the defensive unit's leaders as he attacked the weight room and off-season conditioning with infectious zeal and often awe-inspiring performance. If his true freshman campaign piqued anticipation as the next great player at "Linebacker U.," his sophomore year did nothing to quell the feeling as he led the Nittany Lions with 104 tackles and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors. Just 19 games into his collegiate career, Posluszny's status as a truly remarkable player was further elevated with his election as a tri-captain for the 2005 season. A vastly talented, assertive and instinctive player, the Pittsburgh-area standout is a probable All-America and Butkus Award candidate. He earned preseason honorable-mention All-America recognition from Street & Smith's and was selected second-team All-Big Ten by The Sporting News, Athlon and Lindy's. He also was named to the 2005 Bednarik and Nagurski award Watch Lists. The 6-2, 229-pounder is a tough, relentless pursuer with a great feel for the game. Posluszny is a natural who combines skill, speed, intelligence and explosiveness to always be around the ball and put himself in a position to make plays.

psst: merriweather is only the 3rd best safety on his team. :)

Kenny Phillips may be better, but there is no one else better than Merriwether in that secondary...

reddick is the best on the team right now, and one of the best in the country.

He also missed pretty much all of last season with a torn ACL...He will likely sit behind Merriweather this year, then take over for him in 2007...Anything's possible though...

meriweather should start at SS with reddick at FS. phillips is probably going to end up the best of all 3 (and potentially better than ed reed and sean taylor), but no reason to use up the time of reddick.

Speaking of "Da U", if Willie Williams has a hek of a year, dont be surprised if he declares for the draft.:stirpot: He's gonna be a RS sophmore but this kids potential is through the roof. He will be the best linebacker to come out of the university of miami IMO, and thats the school that produced Ray Lewis, Dan Morgan, Jonathan Vilma, DJ Williams.:)

Poz is a better version of demeco ryans.

but very similar

That's what I was thinking. Quickest way to mediocrity in the NFL is to double dip positions in back to back drafts. Ryans is our weak OLB of the future. Not going to do it. Don't care how good he is. I knew they were going to cut a center. They cut the cap friendly 1. Go figgure.

Pretty much forget the UT guys. After four years of waiting, the writing is on the wall. Don''t care how good Okam is, they get a shot at him, they'll pass him by. Go figgure.

peterson hands down. he is illusive, quick, and strong. he would be able to get us in more 2nd and 4 situations, therefor leaving the defense unsure on if we are going to pass or run. peterson is going to be very successful in the nfl. i hate the sooners, but he could possibly be an mvp one day.

the answer is Peterson hands down....Quinn is overated ....there are several other great QB prospects...say Kevin Kolb from UH....

Peterson over Quinn.

Quinn seems like a big baby to me. He's always whining and crying on the sidelines. And there's definitely better QBs out there for our system,Ex. T.Smith, J.Russell, Kolb.

But I also don't see Kubiak going with a RB in the 1st. It's not his style. I'm guessing we go OL or DB in the first this year. Most likely a FS or LT.

Only 4 months til we find out.

Are you kidding me?

When the camera showed him when UCLA was about to punt for the last time, Quinn wasn't "crying and whining" like you claim. He just stood there, watching the play unfold, hoping he'd get one last shot to win the game.

Plus I've seen Quinn play since he started in place of Carlyle Holiday (who's now playing WR at Arizona......sure surprised me lol) and I've NEVER seen him whine or cry on the sidelines.

I mean, I'm all for taking Peterson or Thomas, but the things people come up with against Quinn can be ridiculous at times.

Best LB in draft is BOSS WILLIS. Beast on the field and plays every down without taking any play off. He is versatile enough to play OLB even though has play ILB in college.

Quinn reminds me of Carr so no thanks. We need to bring "ALL DAY" to our team.

I expect us to loose our next three games (NE, Colts and Cleveland) and finish strong 4-12 so yes there is still hope for AD and Thomas to be drafted by us provided Arizona wins few more games. We have no chance of drafting Thomas if AZ is ahead of us.
