Peterson Declares for the Draft

the only way I would be upset with us taking Peterson is if it means we leave Jamal Andersson or Alan Branch on the board. I think they are the only 2 players with a chance of falling to 8 that could be rated as bpa AND fill a big hole, which AP dosnt really do. Other then that, I'm all for getting AP (any one else see ESPN call us passing Bush a huge blunder- wth?)
so he doesnt fill a BIG hole talent wise? if branch is gone, i'd take peterson. i just dont feel comfortable with taylor-lundy-dayne as out only competitors for carries in 2007.

Passing on Peterson at #8 would be a pretty big mistake IMO. All the cases have been made not much to say from me except that I would like to grab him at 8 if he is there. I really doubt he is there at 8 though.

I see him droping to eight. The only teams I could see taking him is maybe Cleveland and maybe the Cardinals, but not likely with all the money they gave to Edge.

The only way I see us losing him is if the Vikings trade down, which Peterson would be the player they are trading up for.

I could actually see the Vikings trading down in this draft too.

the kid is a beast plain & simple, everything you want in a back, Power, speed & in our case, 1 cut & go. My only concern with him is the tred factor.
I know for sure the Big 12 South is happy to see him go. The vid is little old, but it shows you what this kid is capable of when at full strength.

There seems to be a lot of people vouching for a "trade down" this year, but personally I believe that if there was any year we should've traded down, it was last year.

I really hope we stay at 8, and just hope against all hopes that Adrian Peterson will fall to us. He will be one of the cures to our many diseases.

Edit: I also forgot to mention, that in the OU vs Boise St. game, the announcers mentioned that AP's father would like him to play for a team in Texas, since he was born here.

That guy is bad luck, His 1st game watching live, AD breaks his collar bone, the next game he sees AD, he doesn't play well & Oklahoma looses the Fiesta. Let that dude stay at home.
