I was thinking the same thing. The cards were stacked against Gaffney. I would like to see him continue to help get first downs in the offense. If he does that then we are getting what we should out of a slot reciever.

That is a good question to ask...if he gets cut. I don't think he is going anywhere.Vambo said:Why was Price cut? "Think" people! He can't be that great...

i think the falcons are trying to get him to reitre, rather than just cut him and let him loose... from CBSsportline.comVinny said:That is a good question to ask...if he gets cut. I don't think he is going anywhere.
so not only should he not be brought here, if this is the case, the guy should not be playing anywhere, and put himself in any more harmAccording to reports, Peerless Price might be forced to retire because of an inoperable retinal condition. The Falcons discovered the problem last season but believed the disorder was treatable.

Well, he played like #2.TopTexanFan16 said:i thought that lewis guy was our #2...
Yeah, but their Replica jerseys weren't offered for sale. Were they?texasguy346 said:Greg Randall, Matt Stevens, Demingo Graham, Cameron Spikes, Jabari Holloway, ...

Gaff is not a good blocker...also he takes some plays off...remember the ball dropped going into the endzone?
Armstong has good hands, but he is not a proven player (after all was he not a practice squad guy last year?)...
As far as Mathis goes...Do you really think a late round pick is going to be a #2 his first year?
awtysst said:Just a general question. Isnt Peerless the Atlanta number one receiver? If that is true, who is their number 2 or 3. It is possible his numbers are down becuase he is targeted becuase there is nobody else there who can take pressure off him. It is also possible he is overrated. I am not sure which.
I completely agree and once our o line plays like it should you will see much more production out of our "role player" receivers that will make you forget about these BIG name free agents.Grid said:What is it with us and Wide Receivers?
They are like Pokemon to Texans fans.
"GOTTA SIGN EM ALL!!!"
Gaffney, Armstrong, Bradford, Starling, Mathis, and Thomas... we have enough WRs to go around. Beleive it or not.. you do NOT have to have 4 pro bowl WRs to run a successful offense.. 1 future hall of famer and 3 or 4 REALLY good WRs to back him up should work just fine.
LikeABoss said:Alge Crumpler is the Falcons #1 WR, Price is #2, then Micheal Jenkins as #3.
The first person Vick targets when he drops back is Alge.
infantrycak said:Well great, then the Texans like many teams don't need a #2 (having filled the role with either a TE or a RB). What the heck was everyone discussing? OK sarcasm alert ended--but really did we need to jack with an already bad idea discussion thread with a nomenclature dispute?
