Payton Manning?

I was watching ESPN this morning and they were speculating about whether Payton Manning would hang it up if Kubiak keeps Osweiler at QB when Payton is ready to return. There was some speculation he might go elsewhere for a year or two if that happened.

With all the struggles he has had this year and the QB juggling of the last two years, would you want to see him here?

I really don't know.

Peyton Manning is done after Denver. No interest in bringing him here. None at all.

A gimpy, old Peyton is still better than any QB we've had on the roster for the past three seasons.

That sad, NO.

Draft a QB and let him sit on the bench for a season or two before starting him. I'd rather be patient with a young dude than have to go through the drama of a washed up Peyton Manning.

Have you watched him play at all lately? He's missed 2 and a half games this year and still leads the league in turnovers. Over the last year he's thrown 12 TD's and 21 INT's.

One of the best of all time during his prime, but that prime ended a long time ago. He's done.

Denver might try to get Peyton healthy and rested enough to take one last shot at the playoffs, but he's finished after the season. If he decides not to retire, he'll go the way of Favre by bouncing around to a couple teams to be a placeholder for a year. Though Favre did have a monster year in 09 for the Vikings so you never know.

I don't think time will help heal Peyton. He was an all time great but time has passed him by and I don't think he can do any better than what we already have on the roster. He's basically Ed Reed at QB.

What.....is Dan Pastorini still on probation or something? Maybe Lynn Dickey...Charley Johnson. But Payton? No.

I can't imagine why anyone rooting for this team would want....yet again....to get involved with another QB who's been there, and in this case, done that.

I have to agree, though I really disliked Osweiler coming out of college and that may affect my bias. I saw absolutely nothing outside of his height that suggested he'd be a good starting quarterback in the NFL. A competent backup sure, but not a franchise guy to be taken in the 2nd. However, I didn't see him getting to work with Kubiak either, and he's very much a guy who's built for what Kubiak wants to do.

Edit: really wish the Denver game was on, I couldn't care less about Saints vs Panthers.
