Passing on Ahmad Brooks a mistake?

Seems our LB corp could use some help, especially from a "knock your head off" kind of guy like Ahmad Brooks. In his first 3 games, he's already got 23 tackles, 2 PDs, and a forced fumble.

I would definitely ahve given up a 3rd for him

Hindsight is always 20-20. He's with the Bengals and has already had character issues in college. I'd be surprised if he could stay out of trouble. I would not take him.

He had some baggage so teams passed on him. It's no coincidence that the Bengals have him as he fell to the third round when people were talking first round value in the past. Our third rounder is going to be high so it's almost a second rounder, so I wouldn't toss it away on high risk character guys.

I think the better argument is whether we did the right thing in passing Abdul Hodge or Jerious Norwood instead of Tyrannosaurus Rex Winston.
