texan279 said:No cheap shot, just an awkward hit.
FILO_girl said:Saw that hit. Hope for Palmer's sake it isn't as bad to feel as it was to watch.![]()

THE NFL DRAFT said:Are you serious? You really believe that the DE just accidentaly fell on Palmers lower leg like that?
That was a cheap shot, and now one of the best skill players in the post season is out. He should be fined.
Yep, Kitna going in. They were my pick as the sleeper this season (Bengals).awtysst said:I think he is doubtful to return today. A very tough break for the Bengals.
mexican_texan said:Does anybody else think the Steelers aren't going for the tacke, but for the injury? I noticed a guy tried to twist a WR's ankle, but the WR stiffened his leg. This was after the play, BTW.
Despite being a playoff game, it is still a game between two divisional rivals, there is plenty of bad blood to go around. This would be like the texans and jags meeting in the playoffs.mexican_texan said:Does anybody else think the Steelers aren't going for the tacke, but for the injury? Trust me it is not for the best. They might be emotional right now, but that doesn't last. Palmer was a bonified mvp canidate.mexican_texan said:It seems that Palmer's injury is for the best. the Bengals are playing agressively and passionately. Wow. I want Kitna in deep steel blue and battle red.![]()
well, both have ugly unis, cats as mascots, and don't know what Superbowl trophies are like.texan279 said:Nah, they're not the Jags...![]()
That's as likely as the Lions or Saints winning the Superbowl.Carr Bomb said:This would be like the texans and jags meeting in the playoffs.

Hey Marcus go back and read through the thread before you blast me I already said after watching the replay it wasn't. Man what thread are you reading. Get your facts straight.Marcus said:That wasn't a cheap shot, man! What game are you watching? The DL was blocked into Palmer, and was upset that Palmer was injured. Get your facts straight.
As I predicted, MRIs have confirmed that he has torn ligaments and its a safe bet that he will not return.mexican_texan said:He's out for the year, I guarantee it. He tore something. Time to switch from steak to lobster.
MorKnolle said:It was an ugly play, but it was not intentional. He was blocked into Palmer, and Palmer had his knees locked after getting the ball off, and the combination of those two things is bad for a QB.
WWJD said:Ok. You smart football guys.
Didn't the guy from U of Miami hurt his knee like this in a bowl game and come back very quickly when it was predicted it would be a year long recovery period?
Can't remember his name but I think the Bills drafted him and he's fine as far as I know....
Perhaps Carson can do the same.
D-ReK said:ESPN News has reported that the surgeon who operated on Palmer's knee has informed Palmer that his injury is much more serious than originally thought...In fact, he thinks the injury may be career threatening...He not only has several torn ligaments, he also has damaged cartilage and a dislocated kneecap...
I hope Palmer is able to return from this...He has shown a lot of promise and I don't think Bengal fans would be able to take something like this now...
