Pair of Bruins go to Jacksonville

I am pretty happy about the Jags' draft so far. We took Marcedes Lewis in round 1. He has great hands, and an excellent route-runner. Great heighth, but will have to put more weight on. And I'm sure his blocking will only improve with time. Maurice Drew was a suprising pick...but a pretty good oe. He gives us another return threat. He also hyas blazing speed (4.38) and knows the game very well. We also took an Oky LBer in the third (via trade).

I would have prefered a scenerio in which we took Thomas Howard in round 1, Leonard Pope in 2, and Gean-Jilles in round 3...but, I'm not complaining.

lewis is a big target, but he seems to be slow.. I am just wondering about that and I realize speed isn't everything but he is a big target for Byron

I'm pretty happy that you guys took Lewis, since I don't believe he'll be much of an impact guy in the NFL...He isn't that fast and he should be able to be covered by a decent LB...Not sure if we have a guy that could cover him, but still...

I'm definitely not happy that yall took Drew...Dude is a player, flat out...

Yea, but we have to consider some pro-bowl right ends with 4.8 speed. I know Tony Gonzalez ran his in 4.8, but then again, whose to say Lewis will be as good as Gonzo. We're hoping so. And yes, he does give Byron another big target. I am very satisfied with Lewis' hands. Should catch several TD's as a rook.

you got a point there, if he knows how to get open and has good hands (ala steve largent) then as long as he moves the chains against eveyone else but us , it will be a good pickup .... but if he continues to move the chains against us , I'll hate him ;)

I think Lewis was a good pickup, but I'm a bit partial to Klop myself. Maruice Drew should be a great pickup for you guys. He'll be an excellent return man for the Jags, and I'm betting that he'll be the guy pegged to replace Taylor once he decides to hang 'em up.

Haha...Considering you guys play like the '72 Dolphins when we meet, I'll only hope so.
I do like y'alls pick up of Drew.. if I am not mistaken speed...speed..speed there

Yea, we're loving his speed. I haven't really studied Drew's play in particular, but they say he's a poor man's Reggie Bush. We shall see...
