Our offense will not be as exciting as Denver's if Kubiak comes here

Basically, Kubiak can call play action deep bombs and go for it on 4th and 1 because he trusts the Bronco's players. There is mutual respect, in that he knows they have a good offensive line, their WRs won't drop the ball, the QB will make the right call. In Houston, if he came in here and called the same plays, we would be instantly destroyed. He is going to have to start conservatively, and as he builds up the team, open up the flood gates. So please be patient if for the first half of the season you see a bunch of 3 step drops and hooks, because thats all we can afford to do.

It can be the most boriing, mind-dribbling, rather slam my head in a car door offense, as long as they get the job done and score.
 
Eh.. depends on your perspective. I find running the ball to be the most exciting part of the offense.. so i love the Denver O.

As for starting conservatively.. I think that is a given. Until the players are comfortable with the new schemes.. and the coaches are comfortable with their ability to "execute" those schemes.. you can bet that the plays on offense will be fairly cut and dry.. but that is to be expected no matter which HC we got.

Until we get some linemen who can hold a block for longer than 1 second we can expect to see 3 step drops and dumps to our running back/ tight end for years to come.

Our linemen are simply outmatched week after week.
 
I don't mind that I think the preseason is where we see them gain more confidence. I think we should expect to see an even mix between 3 and 5 step drops at the very start of the season and progress from there.

I think you underestimate the capabilities of the impact a good o-line coach would have. I'm not saying they will instantly become dominant, but this yr. I think we will see a good amount of improvement from the personnel we have, and whatever new players we bring in will also benefit from the coaching.

OK, we're new at working together, so let's keep it simple. First play, you guys run far and fast and you throw it really far. :)
