D-rob, P-Buch, + Glenn = upgrade
D-rob, P-Buch, - Glenn = downgrade

Glenn free to seek trade rumor is extremely disturbing......

Agreed...I think if we keep Glenn, then our D will likely be somewhere in the top half of the league, but if we get rid of Glenn, we'll probably still be ranked around 21 next year...

i think it all depends more on whether the DL can get any kind of push up front, cause the media seems pretty high on PB and him coming to Houston.

I think Greenwood is a definite improvement over Foreman on the inside. Foreman wasn't exactly a stud when he came to Houston. Greenwood's been a successful linebacker on a very good Dolphins defense.

The defense this year will be much improved. If nothing else, Babin, Robinson, Earl, and Peek are all a year older and more experienced.

The guy just said NOT too many DL at 16 start. How does that translate to maybe he will start? I think a better translation is that he will be a backup for a year like most rookies. Then next year we draft/trade/FA get another young DL player to compliment him.

I don't believe DROB became what he did because of our coaching staff - really what coaching staff - but because of the tuitoring of AG. I think the man has always been a class act and that will not change. The Texans smell to high heaven.

Can't say enough about the importance of a decent pass rush. Without one, NO CB, FS or SS can cover adequately. After having some time to think about things, I like the direction the D is heading. Notice has been served...If ya don't play, ya don't get paid(injuries aside for now). I'm not sure that statement plays into AG. He's still a dang good CB and we need him, but Sharper and Foreman just wasn't getting it done. Leading the team in tackles is fine, but not when it's 6 or 7 yds downfield every down. Opposing quarterbacks saved a ton of money when they played us. They didn't need a massuese to rub all the bumps and bruises away after they played us. We get a good pass rush, top 10 in the league. Same pass rush we've had, 21st or worse. And I don't really care about sacks. Just pressure the QB and make him rush his throws or throw the ball away. Give 'em some happy feet.

John Hoke, one of the most respected secondary coaches in the league. You have no idea what you're talking about. How many practices have you attended where you've been privy to watching the interactions between Glenn and the other corners or watching how the coaching staff interacts with them.

It's fine to be upset about the possibility of Glenn leaving, but at least try not to sling **** randomly.

I totally agree with you!!!!!!!

Nice hysterical I hate the coaching staff post. Really, where is there any information to draw that conclusion from? Hoke is a very well respected DB coach. What in the world supports the idea Glenn did more for Drob than Hoke other than your desire to trash the Texans coaching staff in every single post?

Is anyone else happy that we finally have a decent rotation on our d line? I mean Deloach, Ioane and Sears aren't exactly difference makers.

Yeah, im with you on there as much as i was hoping that we'ed pick up one of the three LB's. There is no way that i could argue with adding depth to our D-Line. It was obviously a major issue and I'm hoping TJ can come in and give us some good production.

I saw him on NFL network Friday night before the draft and he seems like a real cool guy. He was one there along with Pac-Man and someone else (i forget). His nickname is "The Don". And just in case you're wondering he wasn't being cocky when he said it. The sports caster asked them their nicknames.

With all the problems and injuries we have had on our D-line, selecting a DT appears to be a great pick. I am very excited. If we pick another DT high next year, I will be excited about that as well. The D-Line may not be the most exciting element of the 3-4 to watch, but all other successes in the 3-4 seems to flow from the effectiveness of the D-Line. If the D-Line is not getting adequate pressure, then the whole 3-4 scheme is compromised.

Although this was not a very exciting pick, I believe that this was a very smart pick. Some people want to draft running backs and wide receivers in the first round every year, I guess because they are most likely to make the Sportscenter highlight reel. For us, DT's are hugely important, and worthy of this level of expenditure. This will improve our whole team.

I gotta wonder how a bunch of *****s like the Texans coaching staff and management could pull off such a surprising pick in the 1st rnd. Or the rest of the draft for that matter. Must be a blind squirrel finding an acorn. Like DD, Babin, Faggins, Earl, etc...
We have a fine staff and management. They are doing the SMART thing, not the POPULAR thing and that will make us a much better team much faster. I like the direction we're heading. UP IN THE STANDINGS
