OT Kevin Barry from the Packers

CyberTexan

Waterboy
What about this guy he's is another one on the end of his contract if I am not mistaken hes big and Strong and young too and I think Obtainable.

Kevin Barry #71
Position: Tackle
College: Arizona
NFL Exp: 4 Seasons
Packers Exp: 4 Seasons
Ht: 6' 4"
Wt: 332 lbs.
Age: 26

thats 4 now ( LeCharles Bentley Saints ) ( Steve Hutchinson Seahawks ) ( Kevin Shaffer, Falcons )( Kevin Barry Packers)

From what I've heard, Barry is an average tackle who could start. But, when Mark Tauscher is your starter, Barry didn't even get close to the field.

I've barely heard anything about him, so I'm assuming he's not too good and not really worth bringing in. The Packers don't have much of a salary cap problem so if they're letting people go it's probably because they're not worth keeping around, and we don't need another Victor Riley-type deal this year, if we're going to bring in free agent OLinemen go after Bentley hard (I think we can get him) and Hutchinson hard (I really doubt we can get him, assuming Seattle even lets him go).

You're worried about a Victor Riley type deal? What you should be more worried about with Charley at the helm is Todd Wade round 2. Strap yourself in because any FA lineman we bring in is going to break the bank (again).

The only free agent linemen worth bringing in are Steve Hutchinson and LeCharles Bentley. I really doubt we can get Hutchinson, and we can probably get Bentley for around $25 million, which I wouldn't mind paying for a young guy that has already been to a Pro Bowl as an OG and another Pro Bowl as a OC. I meant that we don't need to bring in under the radar OLinemen that aren't very good and hope that they wll become a starter and fix our OLine problems, like we did with Riley last year. The Packers have a ton of room under the cap and their OLine is not very good, so if they end up not resigning this guy it's more likely than not because he is not worth having on their team, and therefore we should not go after him either.
