Olive Branch of sorts...

as a Jags fan, I just wanted to say I do have a lot of respect for the Houston Texans, you guys have a great team, and I love your guys uniforms! I also do have a lot of respect for David Carr, I know a lot of our fans make fun of him for his hair and such but he has a lot of good qualities too. I like this rivalry to kick it up another notch, and for there to be a Houston-Jacksonville Sunday Night game, I think they would air one it would be a game more people would be intrested in because of two young talented teams who preach the right princepals DEFENSE! DEFENSE! DEFENSE! But anyways I don't hate you guys I do hold a lot of respect for you guys and I can't wait till we play next year I expect it to be a better game.

Nice post--folks how about responding in kind? Hopefully in the next 1-2 years the NFL will recognize this as a good rivalry and schedule it as such. It is natural that your fans make fun of David's hair and Texans' fans make fun of Byron looking like Gary Coleman. Hopefully the Texans and Jags battle for 1-2 in the division for years--(of course with the Texans usually winning).

not offense, but seriously I'd like David to go back to the buzzcut, he looks tougher that way :howdy:

No offense taken--I wear either a flattop or high and tight and need someone to make it look popular.

leave the boy alone :). His haircut is fine.. as long as he can still pass the ball I dont care if he adopts ricky williams dreads.

ill be honest with ya :). I dont really like your team or many of your fans. Which makes playing yall that much more entertaining :).

Good luck next season.

Good thread. There are some good people in Jacksonville. You're living proof. I too, can't wait for next year. It will be here before we know it. I'm thinking a sweep. :howdy:

I try to keep the peace wherever I go The Texans are a good team, if they didn't make the Jaguars, but they still made the Texans I'd probably be a Texan fan but fourtunately, they made the Jags and they are my one and only team. That kindof makes Wayne Weaver my football god :coolb:

well I hope you don't mind me

I think more than a few people here would not mind having Big John and Stroud on our DL. I think both teams are on a similar track. The funny thing is that many were comparing us to detroit, but if Detroit lets Harrington go or benches him, then they are considerably different than the Texans.

Your Mama taught you well Jags fan (noting your age.) Kinda funny that a 15 y/o can show more class than all the rest of the Jags fans put together that troll on this board. Welcome, and keep the postivie attitude. It's very refreshing!!

Well I wore a flat top for awhile growing up so I helped to make the look popular, but a year or two ago I had to modify my hair style a bit. Why? Because my head was literally too big for a flattop to look right. I've used the same barber since I was a little boy, and I came in for a flat top one day after my hair had gotten shaggy, and after cutting it we bpth realized it didn't look right. So now I go with something similar with my hair longer on top.

I've selected as the Jags GM in Mock Drafts on more than a couple of occasions & I can honestly say I like your team. I can't understand how they did not pick a DE last year instead of Reggie Williams but I think eventually he will be a very good NFL WR. As far as the fans go we are all in the same boat, just that Jacksonville's boat doesnt always float (means that the use of kid gloves will need to be used more frequently) by their very sensitive nature we need to remind ourselves to be kind, peacefull and contemplative. For instance, "Del Rio really has a tremendous feel for the game and understanding of unusual techniques to motivate his players" well thats not going to work, let me start over, umm, umm, umm, "The Jaguar Texans rivalry has become the fiercest, most hostile head to head meeting with the Texans holding a slight edge 4-2" wait thats not going to work either, ah screw it.

good luck until we meet again :BananaWav

Jags-Texan games are always fun to watch, you never know whats gonna happen when these two teams meet up in the heat of a battle.
