Ok.. We need to improve

Please... in this thread.. lets not bring the fire word into it.

What do we need to do to make it better? What defense or offense change (who for who, dont say crap like bench so-n-so). Move who to what and why. What kind of plays would work better then what we are running now? Anyone?
 
I only have a few suggestions.

a) Bring in a fullback or extra RB to block.

b) If the team continues to perform poorly let Banks play. David seems to be in a funk he can't crawl out of. And I won't name or blame anybody for that but perhaps a change might be a boost to the team.

c) Can Bruener catch at all? They seem to have no TE play at all.

No, but he can certainly hold onto the other player and get a penalty at a crucial time......................

How about Wand! Strange, but he's still the best we have. The real problem in many instances is McKinney. But most importantly get rid of the zone blocking scheme. Then you can back to people like Washington at Center. Our personnel are not suited for the zone blocking scheme. Our coaches are trying to put square pegs in round holes and it just doesn't work. I've been saying that for some time now, but no one gets it. This coaching staff is totally inept.
 
Try Chester Pitts back at left tackle and Todd Washington at center.

Stop calling plays that signal to your offense that you think they're inept.

Stop calling plays that signal to your defense that you think they're inept.

Develop at 2 minute drill.

Practice last-second hail mary passes.

Is that a good start?

Wand and Pitts have both shown more consistancy at that position than Riley has. Seriously, it leads me to believe he has something person against Carr the way he lets people off blocks. Hell, Buchanon would make a batter LT with his matador moves than Riley is doig right now.
 
Figure out how to get the ball to AJ (if he does not drop it).

I mean, The Eagles can get the ball to Owens

The Vinkings and Raiders can get the ball to Moss

Cinncy can get the ball to Chad Johnson

Other teams can figure out how to beat the cover 2.


Coaching, we need TRUE coaching
 
get rid of riley. this guy doesnt even deserve to be in the league. he whiffs on blocks. he lunges for the end and completely misses him. wand should have never lost his job.
 
Move Pitts to LT, McKinney to LG and put Hodgon in at C. He'll flub a few snaps and miss a few assignments but I swear to *** if I see McKinney standing around trying to figure out who to block while Carr get DRILLED one more time I'm gonna puke. Oh yeah, and get rid of Wade and replace him with Wand. That would give us the most athelethic line possible.
