I am usually anti emotion when it comes to this type of thing and I never use the following smilie, but it is the only thing that can truly capture my feeling when my favorite mellow fellow from the Dirty South was controlling the game, for a limited time, and raining jumpers on the gridiron. :redtowel:

The paper had a quote today from Strahan, and he was flattered that Mario used his celebration.

So much for the entire team being upset about it.

Thats a better one and its also been my avatar since yesterday. It was great to see him piss off NYG fans after they booed him April 29th . . . "BALLIN!"

Hey X, I've talked about NOTHING but the positives on your team for a week now.

I just promise you that if your rookie phenom doesn't grow up...there's a lineman or two that will make sure not to slow up on a shot at his knees, figuring 5-6 games on the injured list will make him think again before mocking a division champ in their own house.

It's not like he celebrated a sack...he mocked another team in their house. Classless, sorry.

I still like the Texans, but don't think that move was cool. I hope he enjoyed the loss, but it seems he's more interested in personal victories than team effort right now.

So doing a jump shot is completly classles, but picking up a Qb and bodyslamming him after he has thrown the ball is ok with you? What do you expect us to say? He is one of our guys we are obviously going to defend him, and after the way he dominated, rightly so.

Don't fall for this guy's bait! Williams has been playing very, very well. Kiwanuka should be very good, but he'll get his test soon.

Do you guys still think he was worth the #1, though? Bush doesn't seem to be doing much as an everyday back, so perhaps you are?

When you look at the histroy of number 1 picks, with the exceptions of a few (Bruce Smith, Orlando Pace, Peyton, Vick), it is more of a burden then a gift, mostly because of the pressure associated with it and everyone having a say in who to pick. As a result, Im very happy our FO didnt cave to the immense "pick Reggie" and "pick Vince" campaigns that sprung up all over the country and picked the best player for our team. Leading the team in sacks, already setting the Texans rookie sack record (not saying much) and the raw potential that is there for everyone to see, yeah, I think he was worth the number one pick. :mario:

I liked the celebration and I liked Mario's intensity in his subsequent squabble with the refs. Sometimes there is a fine line between playing with passion and being Rasheed Wallace (sorry for the NBA reference, but it was what immediately came to mind) but IMO Mario is getting more comfortable in his role and it's exciting to see him play with more urgency and skill every game. I don't think his celebration was detrimental to his or his team's focus and so I have no problem with it.
