Ohio State vs. Florida

Tressel is Sherman's and Mr. Peabody's love child.

That was a summary of this entire game so far in one play

Ohio State....we are better than you and you can't stop us, we will run all over you

Florida...no your not, your overrated and we will prove it and stop you dead cold where you stand.

Amazingly stupid call.

& in other news, Troy Smith's stock took a huge dip today........ he's got to get rid of that

33 points dropped on you in the first half.......... you've got to feel bad for OSU. This game has the same eerie feeling of Oklahoma & Boise State.

I will say this though, I doubted Florida, I really didn't see them as a elite team this year and I was wrong. I'm just glad the voters were wise enough to give them a chance, especially after watching the Rose Bowl. Imagine how many times they probably don't get it right and how many teams don't get to go to the game. LSU vs. Florida at this point would of been a better game, but this issue isn't going to be resolved and were not going to be gauranteed the best matchup until a playoff is in place.

Wake up NCAA

My social life got in the way. How has Nelson played? I think I saw him miss an open field tackle on the TD and that's it.

Didn't think he was a number one pick before this game and certainly don't think so now. His stock plummetted today big time.

Even though Brady stunk too, don't think that his reputation will be soiled enough to drop him out of the top five.

Rooting for Florida, but would have been nice for the Texans to see Troy play well. Want to see people taking enough of these picks infront of us to help our picks!

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Troy Smith ended up being a 4th round pick. The Ravens head scout Eric DeCosta went on record a few weeks ago saying he had Troy Smith rated as a 3rd to 4th round pick.

After the combine when his true hieght comes out thats he's more around 5'10 and after the performance tonight, he has lost SERIOUS DOUGH. He is like Enron's stock, falling and falling fast.

I suppose this will allow the SEC to extend the claim of being the "toughest conference" for another ten years.

Dear Jeff,

Due to your late season heroics with Philadelphia, people will actually consider drafting me after my game tonight. We've got a lot in common, Jeff, we've been reviled, written off for dead, and bounced back with panache. You do your thing and I'll do mine.

Your biggest fan,
Chris Leak

P.S. I'd be honored to learn the ways of your legendary jump pass.

Im likin the way Reggie Nelson handles himself, alot of confidence, and gives the team credit for everything as well, wouldnt mind seein him in a texans uni

i liked this game, i was cheerin for florida and i thought that they had a good chance to win, and like reggie nelson said the SEC is to fast for the Big 10

Ted Ginn Jr. I think the Heisman guys got the correct team...wrong guy. So can I assume now that Tatter Tot is off the #8 wish list ?

Its all a toss up.. aside from LSU and Florida, the Bowl perfomances this year were really mediocre. The overall lousy play brought down the stock in several players. They had a chance to stand out, and blew it.

i just think of all those arrogant ignorant buckeye fans that thought UF had no talent. man this feels good. they don't watch the games. now ya know.

Runner I would hate to say I told you so..........but, I told you so.

Congrats on the great year, though, tough loss for Buckeye nation

Last year's Texas team beat this year's Ohio State team? I must have missed it.

Florida played very well today - their lines dominated. Very impressive.

By the way, your original statement was that neither team in this year's championship team deserved to be on the field with either of last year's teams. Do you stand by that too?

Give me a break, Nor Ohio State or Florida could compete with the teams that took the field last year.

You're right; it was a tough loss to end a pretty succesful year. I'd be careful - you've been complaining about arrogance the whole thread. Aren't you a Texas fan though?

Dear ESPN,
Thank you for hyping me up like my predecessor, Reggie Bush, so I could win the Heisman and my team could be hyped to tremendous proportions.

Signed,
Troy Smith

P.S: Brady Quinn says "thanks," too, we talked about it at the Heisman ceremony.

----------------

This game should quickly end "The Offical Thread for Troy Smith as a Houston Texan."

Last year's Texas tean beat this year's Ohio State team? I must have missed it.

never said they did, you know that. just saying the media calling this the game of the century after last years was a joke.

Yep, (However I didn't say they didn't DESERVE to be on the field with them, that they just wouldn't be able to compete with them. If they got there they deserve to be there, anyway) Ohio D looked absolutely terrible, Texas had to stop L. White, R. Bush, and Matt Lienart.

Ohio state had to stop avg. at best backs and a QB running up the middle for miminal gains for a rushing game and Leak who played a mistake free game, but dink and dunked all over the field and floated alot of passes

I don't mean to sound arrogant and am not trying to disrespect Ohio State or Florida, both are GREAT GREAT programs, just that the media calling it the game of the century was a joke. I really don't understand why media feels why they have to overhype games. Just let the game itself sell itself. The media certainly didn't do OSU any favors in this game.

Anyways congrats Forida.........great win 2007 NCAA National Champs.

OK. You just pointed to this post:

There is no doubt in my mind the Texas team of last year would of beat this years OSU team.

Vince simply would not be denied in that game, plus our secondary and ovrl. defense was much better. Last years team was a much better team

I certainly never supported this as the game of the century though. Those things are best defined AFTER the fact.

I don't think the average OSU fan should be confused with ESPN hype. I doubt the average fan of any team could live up to that.

I'm not blaming the fans.

Hell even I'll admit I was wrong about this game. I thought it was going to be a blowout just, didn't expect it to be a blowout over OSU.

By the way did they ever go into the extent of Ted Ginn's injury. That was a huge blow to them. He opens stuff up all over the field.
