Not the point. It's a free hit on the QB. Since he's not lined up at QB, you get to drill him the same as an actual football player.

Hopkins should have made a better play on the ball. He didn't even try after calling for it. Ball was perfect.

Going back in slow motion, that ball was underthrown, giving the defenders much better access 2 on 1 to come up with the ball.

People say how great he is and anything bad that happens isn’t his fault.

A number of people have tapped the breaks on calling him great, and have been criticized.

So don’t try to back track on anything like “if he isn’t playing like a hall of famer” it isn’t good enough.

Seeing the INT again, I think it was even less complicated. Neither Watson or the HB sold the fake, the LB doubling our outside receiver quit on the play. I'm convinced that the play was "max protect, chuck it to Hopkins". And let's be real, "throw it high to Hopkins" has been the only successful pass play in O'Brien's tenure.

Problem was Nuk didn't even turn for the ball ... After he threw that big red glove in the air and sprinted to the back of the end zone. If he's the high man it's a TD.

I would say Rick Smith. Gaine has not been on the job long enough. He should not be expected to adequately address the problem in one season.
