We’ve got a QB, the best is yet to come. Can’t expect much with half your defense out
 
This is on OB--he knew the defense was tired and wasn't getting it done--he should've gambled on that 3rd down. It was the only call, but he played it "safe", by putting it in his defense's hands.
 
That's the heartbreak they deserve for being the same old stupid Texans who can never have a good team on both sides of the ball.

You go out and win the damn game. What a freakin waste. Give you team a chance. Don't depend on your sorry f^*%*& defense or Giles AJ.
 
Bill O'Brien's playcalling. Sigh.
He has to give up play-calling duties.
Or at least learn from his past mistakes.

That's twice he failed in late-game situations.
We let the Patriots and Seahawks off the hook....
I want OB to coach the team. Let somebody else call plays.

Conservative playcalling = losses more times than not.
We have a lead late and he's conservative beyond words!!!!

3rd down with the lead late: We run Lamer Miller up the gut.
That's like our go-to play. I don't understand it one bit!!!!!
 
At what point is Vrabels job in question? This pass defense is more than attrocious. Our players in the secondary aren’t nearly as bad, as their play on the field. How do we fix this?

We have no secondary and our defensive pass rush suffered late in my opinion due to tiring out. I could especially see it coming from

I had a bad feeling this game would end with an L. All teams need to do is throw deep as often as possible.
 
FIRE O BRIEN NOW!!!! DONT EVEN LET HIS ASS ON THE PLANE!!!! THIS IS ON HIM AND THAT DUMB CONSERVATIVE PLAYCALLING!!! WE GET THAT FIRST DOWN AND WE WIN BUT YOU RUN THE BALLL!!!! When your RookieQB is on fire!!!!!
 
F'n infuriating. Victory against New England if they get 1 yard, nope, punt and lose. Victory against Seattle, 3rd and 4 and go cowardly, punt and lose. Why trust this defense when it's been awful since JJ and Mercilus went down? I'd rather lose with the ball in Deshaun's hands than rely on this horrible defense.
 
Sucks to waste such a great performance by Watson. Secondary sucked. Offensive line sucked. Great playcalling by O'Brien most of the game. Defense is horrendous against good QBs. Frustrating. Hope the Astros win here in a bit otherwise this weekend will be rough for a Houston sports fan.
 
I don't even blame it on Lamar Miller. How many damn times has a third and short not worked with him? And Obrien calls it yet again? This is all on obrien. Not a single person on this forum would have called that sh1t on third down.

Maybe Watson should start shrugging obrien off. **** you coach, I'm calling plays now!
 
Three biggest takeaways of this game
1.) WTF on that 3rd and 4 call?????
2.) foreman didn’t get one carry?????
3.) we could of had Sheldon Richardson for a 6th round pick???!!!

This loss was on Bob plain and simple.

Agreed, but not when the game is on the line in the final minute! He becomes a coward and calls the same conservative plays over and over again like an idiot. A Lamer Miller run up the gut. Sigh... He should realize our defense isn't any good and will give up a Touchdown late to lose the game, especially against the likes of Super Bowl winning quarterbacks like Tom Brady and Russell Wilson. We could have beaten both of those teams on the road!!!!
 
Also it would be swell if the Texans could ever have competent safeties. We've only known the issues at the safety positions since the creation of the franchise.
 
There must have happened something with Foreman before the game. This was a disciplinary meassure for sure. Sucks, when that is something that may have cost you the game.
 
FIRE O BRIEN AND GET ROMEO BACK IN THE SIDELINE...... VRABEL WAS MUCH BETTER AS THE LINEBACKER COACH....... I mean he has regressed this Defense which was suppose to be our strength this year to rubbish...... and it ain’t got nothing to do with Watt And Mercilus....... we were pitiful and couldn’t cover with them either and they were non factors gettin no pass rush and we can’t cover ANYONE ANYMORE

Bill O'Brien should be the one apologizing to both the team and the fans. Not Bob McNair. That's two road games he single-handily cost us. It would have been so satisfying if we had beaten Tom Brady and Russell Wilson on the road. Deshaun Watson played his heart out in both games and we let him down.
 
From the long conversation after the play, it looks like it was an option play and Deshaun missed the read.
 
Throw the freaking ball on 3rd and 4 to WIN THE GAME!!! Should’ve learned his lesson against New England but I guess he just a dumbass. Texans would be 5-2 if their coach had any nuts.

Agree with 1 and 2 but Sheldon Richardson costed a 2nd round pick, Texans didn't have that.

Two ******* games. Two games that prove that he's the same old **** even with a new offense. And now we're 3-4 instead of 5-2 and wins against two Super Bowl teams.
 
We really missed Mercilus in this one. Whenever we play a mobile quarterback that we're having trouble getting hands on, Mercilus is used as the spy and is fantastic at it. He would have made a huge difference today.
 
That was a defense brain fart. The entire secondary was out of position for both their last drives and who the heck didn't know Jimmy Graham shouldn't be left to run free in the end zone.
 
Playing not to lose means playing to lose. Especially against good teams.

Maybe this works against the Browns, not against the Seahawks and Patriots.
