**Official Game-Day Thread** Texans at Jaguars, Sunday Nov 13, 2016!!

Brock sent his tape to Peyton and asked for help over the bye week?

I'm conflicted on that.

I guess sometimes you need an outside eye....but why is Peyton going to fix what his coaches haven't? The coaches suck.

We just barely beat the jaggies and the titans crushed green bay. That last game with the titans could actually mean something by the time we get there.

Hopefully we can play up to the competition next week. It will be a good measure of where we are. Have no idea where we are after today's game.

14/27 for 99 yards
3.7 yd avg
2 TD
0 INT
85.3 rating

But hey, first time for Oz not to turn the ball over.... maybe cause the Jags defense couldn't react fast enough on the 3 yard plays

And this against a lousy defense. Oakland does not have a lousy defense.

Will be listening for an explanation from Ob about why no Vic formations.

Fortunate no turnovers or injuries on those plays. The fallout from that would've been apocalyptic.

Loved the win, enjoyed the game, Go Texans!!! but we do have serious problems at quarterback position. I think BO had less than 100 yards passings. That's beyond pathetic. A wins a win but how long can the rest of the team overcome the issues at quarterback?

"We thought he'd give us some juice and he did."-O'Brien on RB Akeem Hunt

"That was what we call a 'gotta have it' play."-O'Brien on final Osweiler to Hopkins pass.

O'Brien: "It's good to be 3-0 in the division... I thought the guys competed really hard."

O'Brien: "Stephen Anderson has been getting better and better every week."

"Fortunately we made big plays when we needed. It's hard to win in this league, even harder on the road," #Texans owner Bob McNair

21st time in last 5 yrs a QB has thrown for < 100 yds on 20 or more attempts. Their teams are 5-16 in such games. Osweiler & Schaub are 2-0.

This is the 7th time the Texans have won a game with less than 100 yards passing. Two of those occurred in the franchise's first year.

Can't blame the offense for the win? Credit has to go somewhere.

Special teams... of course the game wouldn't have been close if Novak didn't shank two field goals. But the big run backs on punt returns helped a lot.

don't get me wrong, defense contributed... pick six, another INT, fumble recovery... we won the game, but everyone helped.

The idea that Osweiler can develop into a championship QB is a delusion. His hold on the starting position is simply a formality, and therefore a waste of time. That's why no one can be excited over a win; it just contributes to the delusion and wastes more time.

We keep churning up these ugly ish wins. But hey I will take it, hoping however the offense will start clicking. Well if Brock will starting clicking in the right direction. This team is winning despite his horrid performances. I can only imagine the what IF we had a legit starting QB. This team would be even freaking better ladies and gentlemen.

Bill O'Brien on Brock Osweiler: 'We have to play the game the way we see it playing out. We don't care about stats. It's all about winning'

Houston Texans ‏@HoustonTexans
Osweiler: "You need to be able to run the ball, and we did that... This was a great team win today."

Osweiler: "Coach is always preaching us to play complementary football, and that was a great example."

Osweiler on Miller and Blue: "I can't say enough about what those guys did today."

Osweiler: "Winning the division is the most important part of the season."

Osweiler: "For me, it's all about winning, and I don't care how we do it."

I'm not sure what Peyton told him but something must have clicked since he had 2 TD's and didn't throw any interceptions. On the down side, the 99 yds passing for the game, well maybe he needs a little more advice from Manning on how to fix his accuracy! :throwball:

As for why his coaches haven't been able to "fix" his problems, that's the big question. And, since BOB has been here, we've been told he's some kind of QB guru. So, does this mean that Brock doesn't have what it takes to be a good NFL QB or does it mean that BOB is not the guru we were told he was? :hmmm:

Uh, the Jags had the 11th ranked defense. Oakland is 27th.
And when the Texans beat a good Raiders team, fueled by an MVP caliber player at quarterback in Derek Carr (like we beat Stafford and the Lions), and improve to 7-3 on the season... There will still be people complaining about Bill O'Brien and Brock Osweiler. I've had enough of it myself. We've got our guys and we have to support them.
