The Seahawks select LB DeMeco Ryans out of Alabama.
Ryans will be taking over for an aging Jamie Sharper next to last-year rookies Tatupu and Hill. The other NFC West teams all took quality players who will pressure our LB corps: Reggie Bush, Lendale White and Vernon Davis. With the 36th pick, the New York Jets select Daryn Colledge, OT, 6-5.5, 309, Boise State.
The Jets are in need of a serious upgrade at the LT position & Colledge gives them just that. He's got great size, speed, & strength, & is the best all around (pass/run blocker) in the draft. He also plays with a nasty demeanor. A little attitude can be a good thing.
I would've considered Eric Winston, if he had been available, but his knee injury causes me concern. He's already damaged goods.

With outstanding athleticism for his size, he could possibly play any position along Romeo Crennel's 3-4 line. Although his motivation has been an issue at times, he's always been known as a good kid off the field and the coaches feel that maturity and dedication will come with the new environment.

With the very real possibility of losing Ty Law to free agency, the Jets have to find a replacement. Neither Miller, nor Strait, have shown that they are the heir-apparents to replace Law.
Marshall brings excellent size, speed, athleticism, coverage skills, & very good hands. He's very aggressive & delivers the big blow. To put it simply, he's a playmaker.
