Scouts, Inc also said that Jason Babin would be a good 3rd round gamble for some team and said Isaac Hilton would be a star...

I'm not saying that Scout inc. is the best talent evaluators out there. I just hadn't seen anything that had Johnson higher than Spears until I looked at Scouts inc.

Wilkerson would be really nice... but I wouldn't count on it. I still wonder how much farther Cody and White are gonna fall and if and when Capers is gonna consider trading up for one of them.

Notice how they have Sharper in the background.

I noticed that, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt since I think Greenwood is going to wear 55...

*edit* nevermind, he's number 56...

Yeah, we don't want one of our divisional rivals checking our message board in the draft room... I'm sure that's what Casserly and Capers are doing... Reading the other teams' chat rooms.

No you putting him in a good situation. He can learn from Favre and he is not going to a crappy team. Favre is not going to be there forever.

With Carr the reason he has happy feet is b/c the line still don't protect him. Hopefully the line will come together and you will see DC lose the happy feet. They used to say that about Warren Moon, but once he got the line protecting him he turned out ok.

I think 1st yr QB`s no matter where they are drafted should carry the clip board the whole season. Learn to read NFL Complex Defenses. Like in College Red Shirting. Be honest I don`t think GB is going to be good this yr. They have to many holes. Especially letting go Sharper. Plus 2 O-Line men.
I think Carr has problems reading Defenses. I think he should have been on the bench his 1st yr. I hope he can recover

If White is still there lets say at NE's pick or beginning of 2nd i dont see how we could not consider trading up. Pull another Babin, White has potential, one of my favorites. Plus Poker has to get boring by the 2nd round...

What about Elton Brown if he's around in the middle of the first round? Supposed to be one of the best guards in the nation. Oh well, there goes Roddy White.

Ya if Elton Brown is there heading into the double digit picks in 2nd round, espicially the teens to late teens, we should consider trading up.

Or Darryl Blackstock? Personally, I wanted to see us end up with Blackstock by trading down. Or now trading up? How often do you see true 3-4 linebackers or ends (Chris Canty) coming available? So much talent still on the board, and I wonder if there's anything going on in the War Room about it.

Roddy White to Atlanta.. Genious Pick for Falcons. Lining up opposite of Price, can see it now. Vick to White.

...and what about Michael Jenkins, who they traded up for last year?

Yeah, Peyton has sooo many problems reading defenses since he started from the outset! BTW, Carr will be fine.

I do think it is best if the QB gets to sit at least 1 year...

Only when he plays against the PATS :) There are exceptions

I wanna know what the Eagles are doing. They have more picks than they need and havent done any trade ups.

I wonder if they are trying to get picks next year.

I'm not saying this is one of these situations where a guy just goes forgotten, slipping 2 rounds, but Dan Cody, Darryl Blackstock, Chris Canty, Elton Brown... all still floating around on the board. Interested to see how many would have been there for the Buchanon pick and whether or not we can maybe slip up into the 2nd round and steal one of these guys at some point...

Miller would be a nice pick too. Not only would he be able to help their secondary, but he'd also be able to take Brown's return duties now that he's a free agent.

I would be very concerned with what has happened with Joppru!

I believe Joppru's injury is more along the lines of what Nomar Garciapara of the Cubs recent suffered. Their groin muscle was torn away from the bone. BTW No way Nomar gets back in 2 to 3 months. He's likely out for the season.

Anyone heard anything from Capers or Casserly yet on Travis Johnson?

We probably won't hear anything until the 1st Day of the draft is over with. They're both in their war room right now most likely, and that kind of hinders ther ability to answer media questions.

Is there anyone in your eyes that is not better than Travis Johnson or is it just because he's now a Texan?
no i just think this wa sa truely wasted pick and a huge reach. I will eat my words but i hated the Babin trade and this one is worse. Babin did not do enough to justify it. And i think CC followed up that one with another bomb. But i'll let it go for now.

Cass was on the radio a little while after the Johnson pick and said the typical type of things ie: he's strong, quick, and will be a good fit here...

Yeah, just didn't know whether Casserly or Capers made a statement through someone to local media. Sorry I'm annoying with this, but I'm very interested to see what the plans for our 1st pick are. Draft is always an exciting day as long as you make a good pick in the 1st round... And I'd say there's probably 24-25 teams that really made a solid 1st round pick.

Babin didn't do enough? He's a rookie learning a brand new position. Did you expect him to be LT in his first year in the NFL?

Start going to the other thread guys. This one is as big as its going to get. I have a round 2 thread up.

Lol... ask and I shall receive... just got posted in the draft center. Logan Mankins instead of Elton Brown? Wtf?

Yeah we're all a little anxious to hear the reasoning behind all the picks. We'll hear more in depth info once the draft is over.
