Your offense should score more than 21 points, and your defense should be able to hold the opposing team under 21 points. So if the final is 24-12, then your team played well on both sides of the ball(that is if you're on the team that scored the 24 points). Of course, if you were on the loosing end of that score, you played pretty badly on both sides.
It's just the way I look at football, and wonder if anyone else had similar systems.

texan279 said:Well Chicago only scored an average of 16.2 points per game this season which was 26th in the NFL and made it to the playoffs. Tampa Bay averaged 18.8 ppg which was 20th in the NFL and made it to the playoffs, granted both teams were eliminated, it goes to show though how important having a solid offense and defense is.
