O'Brien You need to deliver... yesterday.

So would that mean that steelb, texian and yourself for the past few years weren't fans?

Your example doesn't apply and is pretty much ridiculous. I can't speak for them, but I rooted for Kubiak and was happy to have him come on board when he came here. I didn't like his coaching style after several years of watching him botch things and fail to get rid of awful staff members that were bringing the team down. I still rooted for the Texans despite that. I've also given Smith credit here and there on adding certain guys here as well. Hell, I've even tried to go into the season positive about Clowney of all people.

Scooter and a few others flat out decided that they were never going to give the new regime a chance. Scooter came out and **** all over the Texans the minute that Kubiak was fired when they went 2-14 showing he was a fan of Kubiak way more than he was with the Texans like he was Kubiak's wife or something. Since then, he has trashed pretty much everything the franchise has done even with stints of success and a playoff birth while he hasn't had one year without his QB's being injured whether they were good or not. He also comes in here and continually turns every discussion he can into some "Kubiak would have done this or that" argument to make it seem like we're headed nowhere while being to chicken **** to admit he wants them to fail. I have no idea why you'd defend that type of foolery, but I'll go on and assume that you're in the same boat as him then. I don't mind a little trolling when its transparent, but I'll call out fake fan who is here to dump on the team and nothing else when its that obvious.

You've been around longer and obviously seeing things deeper than I have. I was just commenting on having negative takes on areas of the team doesn't make one a non fan. Consider me in any light you want. I'll lose no sleep over it

I'm with you. I think O'b has seriously underperformed.

However, the biggest hold back has been QB. While I don't agree with the ones he picked I do agree with the ones he passed on (except McCarron & Cook). But those may not have been his decisions.
What happens now?

I say we give him five more weeks, then reassess where we're at.
I will determin more after we play Indi and Tenn in the next three weeks. Those at the moment are for sure winnable games. Minnesota and Denver will be tougher but if we show well and lose I won't be too rattled. Detroit is hard game to assess at the moment. They are on the edge of being pretty good but given the better share of thier history I would bet they fold and revert to underperforming. That said I can not accept poor performances by our team no matter who we play.

I would hope the players have enough pride to get together and say "We're better than that and we will not let it happen to us again"

to paraphrase Brett Favre, sometimes you have to overcome your coaching.

Kudos to Bill O'Brien. He's installed some toughness into our team.

I thought that was the main reason he was selected to be our HC. McNair said we needed some mental toughness infused into this team & BAM!!! Bill O'Brien.

I admit, I expected to see a lot more a lot sooner, but no doubt in my mind, this team is tougher, mentally, more now than they ever had been.

I still don't like him, but he's growing on me.

As interested in seeing Savage on Saturday, I am as equally interested in seeing OB's offense implemented to perhaps It's full potential. His game plan, adjustments, play calling etc. A lot of blame and criticism (most rightfully so like running Miller up the middle) has been on OB. I am hoping we see a winning offensive system that can work with Savage.

Maybe BO (not beating up on the guy) just couldn't do it and yhat tied OB's hands.

I am definitely looking to see how OB does with his hand picked QB Savage and this team. No more excuses for anyone.

It's going to interesting.

I am so sick of hearing O'b saying he makes decisions based on what's best for the team. Granted I don't know everything he knows, but

I leave the content blank for now.

It's just unfathomable how the Texans fans have been giving O'Brien a pass.
(OK, I'm stirring up the pot again)

But really, why has this board been so quiet; the quietest I've noticed for a very long time.
Apathy? What?

I'm freaking tired of waiting and hoping.
The main core of players get paid millions of dollars; why should I give them time when they are veterans?

The players were the ones who wanted more pay for performance.
To ask us to be patient is ridiculous.
Who's with me now?

:kitten::ahhaha::fans:

At least the Texans did not lose by 30 points; progress.

If you don't demand better, at least show me the courtesy that my demand is for the better.

This country is better because we ask for the better, never the status quo.
