But if both Bush and Young were to emerge in this years draft and we held onto the #1 pick, would you draft Bush and then offer Carr to SF with a few picks and pick up Young with the #2??

I'm certainly not sold that Carr is anything of a bust at this point. I see bright glimpses of brilliance and athleticism. IMHO, I would rather get another coaching staff in here and see what Carr can make of himself, but with NOT having that available if both of these guys were to emerge into the NFL this draft, which way would you go?

Ha, the niners didnt just give Alex Smith 50 Mill to have him sit on the bench. Carr is better than young ever will be so I would stick with Carr and Bush. I notice a lot of Texan fans dont like Carr. Most my friends (none of which are Texan fans) think highly of Carr and blame most of his poor performance on your line. Carr in PIT, SD, IND would be a pro bowler.

Let me guess, you don't watch his games?

Are most of your friends from California? Remind the board of where Carr is from.

I have some friends in California, but im living in Florida now and most agree that it isn't Carr who sucks, its the line.

Carrs from Cali, but that doesnt automatically make him good. You have to wait until your team is actually good and see if he still sucks. A ton of people on the Niner message board are the same way, they want Smith out of there and their already calling him a bust. You cant judge a Qb when they play for such lame teams, even Peyton Manning wouldn't be winning on the Texans or Niners.

i dont think we could get anyone to take carr from us it doesnt matter how sweet the deal is why would they want a tim couch type of player.

You think we Carr haters are bad, quite a bit of Niner fans are labeling Smith as a bust before he even finishes his rookie year surrounded by crud. If that isn't bad enough, Barlow slaps Reggie Bush fans with a "I'm the back of the future" rant .... LOL.

At least we've got an "Extreme Makeover: Coaching Edition" coming after this season. Can't say that I'd rather be a Niner fan right now.

I think everyone saw smith as a bust. he put up good numbers in a gimmick offesene against inferior talent. I think alot of people in the league think highly of carr and according to mortenson he wouldn't be on the market long if we released him. the whole draft reggie bush scenario is funny, if we do then we don't help out carr with the line that he needs to show us that he can play. i wonder if the guys that want bush are the same guys that want to get rid of carr?

I want us to pick Bush and believe he can take some pressure off the defense teeing off on Carr and give him a chance to shine. Along with some other draft picks and free agents. I believe we do need to look for a capable back-up just in case, but I don't think you have to draft him(Ragone, B.J. ?) Why weren't we getting more o-line help or defense with these picks?

Yeah, i know, thats why i said in my post above that their already calling Smith a bust. How you gonna call a QB a bust when his Line is terrible, and his best receiver is Brandon LLoyd? And theres a lot of people doing it. I feel the same way about Carr, i wont call him a bust until you guys have a decent line. You've already got good skill position players like AJ and DD, maybe one more playmaker and a lot of O-line help then i'd call Carr a bust if he was still bad. And oh yeah, Barlow sucks, i cant wait to get rid of his @$$ or atleast have him playin back up to REGGIE.

TEXANS 3-13, DO IT DO IT!!!!!

Do we absolutely need to draft an OL in round 1 to turn it around? Where are these franchise LT's that everyone suggest we take in the top 5? What's funny is people suggesting we take a tackle so high just because we "need one". IMO I hope we get a defensive beast or Reggie Bush in round 1, there's a good chance some talented linemen fall to round 2.
