Norv Tuner as OC?

While we don't even know who our head coach will be next year and whoever he is will probably name his own guy as coordinators, but what do you think about the possibility as Norv Turner as our offensive coordinator. He's a crappy head coach but he's a proven OC. Look what he did for Aikman in Dallas. Now if we can get Kubiak as our HC I think we'd have a pretty good offense next year. I'm sure David Carr would be jumping and screaming if those two guys were hired.

Norv Turner is a great OC. Just like Dom Capers is a great DC. Some people are great coordinators and just aren't meant to be a HC. I think Norv and Dom are great examples and I think that Norv as our OC would be great.

I don't really know why Norv isn't a good head coach...perhaps because he's very low key. I think maybe players relate better nowadays to the fiery coaches. It worked with Jimmy in Dallas...he was the fiery guy while Norv could just be low key and OC. I haven't heard Norv would be fired but I can't imagine that he won't have a job in the NFL somewhere.

Think about what you are saying - especially in the context of Casserly staying. Not that it's healthy to have a head coach and GM that are bosom buds but Norv and Cass working together again? That may be like throwing two alley cats in a sack.

What's funny is to go back and read some of the Washington Post archives from c. 1999 to see what Skins fans were saying when Snyder took over. Here's one example:
