Signs are pointing towards next tues. April 13th. Apprently it showed up on TV guide that ESPN2 or 3 had a 7pm EST spot listed as 2010 NFL SCHEDULE RELEASE SHOW.

Based on past years this will be the date. Last year it was the 14th (2nd tues in April). It has always been around the 14th, always on a tues.

Dont think this was posted anywhere else, if it was plz merge

I've only kept up with it since 2005.

Hmmm.... I could not find that same listing on espn.com In fact... I went to nfl.com and on the bottom right of the page I saw the NFL schedule coming soon promo... and says exclusively by NFL.com and NFL Network.

Then I just found this.

It looks like the NFL is finally getting ready to announce the 2010 schedule.

The official schedule announcement will be made during a prime time special on the NFL Network later this week or early next according to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, per Mike Florio at PFT.

The schedule release will come later this year than in year’s past.

So I guess its still up in the air as to exactly when...

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/football/nfl/04/13/schedule.release/

The complicated riddle that is the NFL regular-season schedule has not been solved yet, and all we know for sure at this point is it will be out before the NFL draft begins next Thursday night in New York City.
League schedule-makers continue to work on the 256-game slate, and a league spokesman confirms to SI.com that the NFL now hopes to announce it by "later this week or early next week."

On an otherwise really boring TV night, I was looking forward to this tonight. Oh well.

There is not a computer program for this???

They don't want it random with the McNabb led Skins going against the Eagles at noon with Sunday night football featuring the Rams against Detroit.

Exactly.

What they should do is just randomize them all and then select the games from each week to be in primetime. That might be hard though, if there are many good matchups one week, and them badones the next.

I think you have to take into account traveling schedules, holidays, trades, rivals, and 100 other things. I can see how it could be complicated like the NCAA tournament.

But they've had since February to figure out the schedule.

I know they're waiting on trades etc.....

The draft is almost here and Goddell's minions still haven't done their jobs. UGHHH !!!!!!

I'm guessing the issue has much more to do with sticking a bunch of divisional games at the end of the schedule. Because of that, they are working with a new matrix and likely encountered unanticipated issues.

Just a guess though.

I'm sure they generated several different schedules and then there's probably some committee or something that's going through the options trying to agree on the "best" one.

I mean, whatever issues you have randomly generating a schedule, even with the non-random requirements, should be able to be solved in less than a day from the programming perspective. This has got to be the NFL officials dithering.

Thats too long of a wait!

Why do you want to get rid of him? Cause the schedule is delayed?

I don't like him. I think changing the draft was his worst move yet. He could have just as easily spread the 3 days over friday, saturday and sunday. He is a real power hungry, egotistical hard ass dictator. He makes changes to whatever he wants rules, draft, he even wants to make an 18 game schedule, and he destroyed the Patriot tapes. He is changing the way the game is played.

BOOOOO!!!! They've had plenty of time to get this done. Not acceptable, not that is matters, BUT, I just gotta vent!!!!

I agree! 18 games isn't nearly enough!!

I just received the email from my Cowboys account manager.

It’s that time again

The league will officially announce the 2010 schedule next Tuesday during a live show on NFL Network and on nfl.com at 6 p.m. (CDT).

Have you thought about doing a suite for a game? If so, we will officially be on-sale with single game party suites next week as well.

Hope all is well and GO COWBOYS!

I guess I'm one of the few that doesn't quite get into the schedule release as much as some do. I do want to know, but it doesn't have me on the edge of my seat or anything. Eh, give me the draft

the only reason I want it is so that I can see what days im gonna need off from work. Im heading to either NYC (technically NJ), Washington or Indy this season. Or maybe if I can find some money come to Hou for the Dallas game

I agree with you. I'm surprised at the anticipation over the schedule.

The schedule allows me to think through alot of different scenarios and outcomes, idk it just entertains me haha. :truck:

Ha..I get it Ryan. Just seems more nervous anticipation this year than I can recall in past years.

We're looking at what appears to be a much more brutal schedule overall this year. I'm having nightmares of last year's 4 game divisonal stretch. I'm really nervous about hearing of another 4 game stretch all the while sprinkling on a couple of NFC East games sandwiched between the Ravens and the Chargers.

It's going to suck no matter what happens though. Water's going to be cold. I'm in a hurry to jump in the water and get it over with.

At least it gives us something new to argue about a few days before the draft, which is when the real arguments start! LOL

Having the schedule out allows people to start making their plans, put in for vacation, make road games arrangements, etc. If there's Thursday or Monday night games, I've got to get my days off worked out at work and the sooner the better.

I already know the teams we're playing so I don't really care about the order, I just need the dates.

looks like all the week 17 games will be divisional. great idea. i had a similar idea, but with the last 4 weeks. but at least one week is a great idea

im looking forward to teams complaining that they got a hard divisional team in week 17 and others got an easy one. there will be plenty of conspiracy theories. can't wait for em

I suspect we'll know the schedule within the next couple of hours. It usually gets leaked before the Schedule Release show.
