NFL playoffs 2013-14

Luck is an absolute monster. I said it 2 years ago, I would have traded all 7 of our picks for Indy's #1 for the right to take Luck.

That would have been a really, really bad idea. I'd rather just go back in time and keep Indy from grabbing TY Hilton; imagine Luck without being able to loft it up to him.

Demeco should have retired a Texan...

This is not hindsight, I said at the time too...can't replace veteran leadership like that and he always shows up in big games and the playoffs.

Does collinsworth read everyones biography? Dude seems to know every players "story"

He's one of the few I like. He's a love/hate kind of guy with most, but I look forward to hearing his input. Dude actually does his homework before a game, but my impression of him is he already knows a lot of what he talks about during the game.

Now if San Francisco can take care of the Packers while they're freezing their thingy off in Green Bay, they can avoid Seattle for a week. Carolina is definitely the place to be in their minds.

Hell of a first day, but I will always despise Indy.

Yeah, the first two games were decided by a combined three points. I don't have a dog in the race so I wouldn't mind every single game from here on to go like the first two games. A terrific opening day for playoff football. :brando:

What an epic choke. Of oilers proportions.
Where was the Chiefs defense in the second half ? This was worse than what Luck did to us in the second half of the game in Reliant this season. But I just couldn't believe the Chiefs vaunted D would blow a 4 TD cushion ? Where was the pressure on Luck, their pass-rush ?

And the Chiefs Planet forum is now on lockdown. Was a public forum 24 hours ago. Not anymore. LOL.
I visit there often, they had > 2500 users last night at one point. They gotta be sick in KC this morning.

All they had to do was stop Hilton. They couldn't even do that. Hilton singlehandedly beat them.

This game is why qbs are so important. The 2 best trench teams in the afc are home eating popcorn. Meanwhile, 3 top 4 drafted qbs are advancing

Watching the Green Bay game should be a reminder why the QB is so important: Green Bay was 6-2 with Rodgers and 2-5-1 without him.

Where was Clay Matthews, didn't see him in on the field when the GB defense was out there ?

But Clowney or Matthews will dominate the trenches and get us to the next level!!:kitten:

I know, right, lol. You can hide ol and you can generate pressure, but you can't hide ur qb. You can build the line and get him all the explosive skill players you can muster, but if he's not top shelf or have top shelf talent, you will never win or be close to a superbowl. Indy and SD are avg on the ol and dl,but the qbs are playmakers.

But SF is 12-4 with what I saw as just average QB play from Kaep.

I agree QB is huge, but my opinion is SF is the better team on the frozen tundra today.

I wonder if Schaub can have a Phillip Rivers like rebound.

Though it would be nice if Bridgewater (6'3" 205lbs) can play as well as Kaepernick (6'4" 230lbs) has so far. Of course Brown, Myers, & Brooks would have to play as well as Staley (1st), Davis (1st), & Iupati (1st)

The Bengals board is pretty tough to read right now. One guy said maybe O'Brien likes Dalton and we can trade our 1st, 2nd, and Dalton for the number 1 overall and draft Teddy. Another poster actually thought he was crazy to offer that.

The second guy must be high because there is no way we would take on a QB who chokes during the playoffs in the last year of his deal only to swap firsts and get a second round pick.

They basically have a Schaub dilemma - they have a pretty good QB that actually looks great at time. But one, that doesn`t get it done when he actually needs to and one that does stupid mistakes at bad times. But they are stuck with him - he seems to be too good to give up on, but not good enough to get them a ring. They will have to suffer through this for a couple of years, like we did...

Dude I was thinking same thing. Good enough but never great enough

I wouldn't say they're stuck. He has one year left on his rookie deal, but I would imagine they'll draft a QB in the first or second this year to compete. If that team is healthy they really don't need much else.

Basically. He's good enough to get them to the playoffs but not good enough to win once there. It's the first time the Bengals have made the playoffs three straight years, so I wouldn't give up on Dalton just yet.
