NFL Maps Week 6

Can't say I'm surprised. Think Buffalo's going to bring in a lot more nat'l attention.

And never thought I'd want to see DET/SF. :heh:

That just made my day. I'm not gonna have to head to a bar to watch the game this week since the Detroit CBS affiliate is showing the game

These things do change throughout the week, so don't be surprised to see a few things change tomorrow. I still don't understand why the 4pm games are shown on the same map as the 1pm games. Shouldn't they have two separate maps for that?

That's usually only when the station has the double header. This is on one map because those getting the late game won't get the early games, and vise versa.

CBS has 3 early games and 2 late games, but only 1 map.

Fox has 4 early games and 2 late games, but 2 separate maps.

Does not make sense, unless CBS won't be showing an early game. But even if we aren't getting the early game, does that mean CBS only shows 1 game every Sunday in all of its markets?

Not every Sunday, but I don't know exactly what decides who gets doubleheaders week to week. For example last week, Houston had a game at home and a doubleheader in the local market. Texans @ Raiders noon and then Jets Patriots late start. But Fox had no doubleheader, so Houston had the late game only, Tampa at SanFran.

No, it means that between Fox and CBS one of them only shows 1 game every Sunday in all of its markets, and this week that network is CBS.

Here's the week 5 Map which only includes one map for Fox, since CBS had the double-header and no Fox market got more than one game.

Weird. Must be some deal with the contracts. I'm surprised they both don't show 2 games each Sunday afternoon. You would think it would be good competition.
