NFL is considering pay to play for the Super Bowl halftime performer

So let's get this straight NFL... You ask US to play, but you want us to pay??
Okay, so unless they are an up and comer, why would any already established act want to pay to play it. They are being asked because they already have a big following. I knew the league was all about money, but this.... wow!
 
I say we start a petition and a pool to get this guy to play at halftime...

What might end up happening is you have different companies sponsoring the acts.

Like the "State Farm" half time show featuring...Pearl Jam or something...

Makes sense to me. The half time show is a massive period of time, and a great chance to advertise your act.

Open it up to the free market, and let them bid on doing the show. Heck - if Warren Buffet wants to pay $500 million to support youth football in exchange for knocking out an acoustic version of November Rain, go for it. I already can't stand most of the half time acts anyway!

I liked the one with the who.
haven't seen any before that, and those after all more or less sucked.
 
I wish the followed it's own rulebook and the Super Bowl had a 12-minute halftime like every other game in the season.

Not where there is money to be had. I have grown to consider the conference championship games the REAL trophy and the Super Bowl simply a showcase for the NFL.
 
I don't watch it anyway so I don't care but their greed is really kind of disgusting to me. It gets worse every year. How can you like something (NFL football) so much while hating the people who are in charge of it this much? It's a mystery.

I wonder if or when they'll kill the goose that laid the golden egg with this kind of crap?
