NFL Gameday 9/08/13

Two giants helmet to helmet to themselves

Romo wind knocked out.

My concern was him wincing while walking. I am no doctor but imagine here has to be a little more

Wow. I just read the Chiefs 28-2 win over the Jaguars was the first 28-2 final score in NFL history.

Pretty cool considering how many games have been played.

Absolute shocker of a game last night. Don't expect either team to make it to playoffs.

I dont know....the cowboys looked pretty good...of course it could've been the giants just looking that terrible made the cowboys look really good.

Both those teams looked good to me save for the crucial mistakes they made. I thought both QB's made some really good throws and had overall good games. Giants WR corps is legit. Cowboys oline looked better.

I thought those were two good looking teams playing a tough game.

The play Romo got hurt where the RT just got blown up & knocked off his feet...had me dying laughing last night...I've just never seen a guy get laid out like that on the NFL level before.

Not pictured but still...

Steeler pro bowl C Maurkice Pouncey carted off field. His own RG cut him from behind.

Watch 2012 1st Round pick Dave Decastro #66 cut blocks his own center, taking him out for the year with ACL & MCL tears...

Similar, but less directed, thing happened to DeCastro in 2012 when teammate Marcus Gilbert fell onto his knee causing the same injuries.

He's an idiot. You can't cut another player while they are engaged anyways.

They're going to band cut blocking all together.

You should read the steelers messageboards about this incident...They say they just don't understand what he was trying to do there...almost like he intentionally went after pouncey's knee...or that he just closed his eyes and lunged...its hilarious.

I heard suh cut blocked someone also. Link on yahoo talked about it but I didn't see inthe link where it showed it

I agree Rey. It was clear that Old Man Kiffin's strip the ball being hammered in their heads is sinking in. Those defenders were ripping to strip it all night long! Dallas' 0Line did look good. Jerruh might have reached big time for Travis Frederick he looked solid in the opener. If DeMarco Murray can stay healthy they might be able to put together a decent ground game this season.

Lol, RGIII finally gets onto the field to make his 2013 debut, the crowd goes nuts, the sky opens up with divine sunshine from the Heavens, aaaaand the first play the Skins cough it up.

One and done for the first drive.

Strange game so far too. The NFC East will lead the league in turnovers for weeks to come on this week's total alone.

Oh my... when did Kubiak become the Eagle coach?! A third and long draw play...? Certain sources say that only Kubiak turtles up like that

Kubes is contagious, I watched a draw on 3rd & 34 just last night. The Gmen I'm thinking.

Lol, yeah. When I read Obs' post I thought about how often this preseason I saw it, plus the play you are talking about.

Yeah, I just wished later that I'd have thought to go to their boards and see if they see the same way as some here do. I've watched a pile-0-times the same thing from other teams as well.

I stand PAT, Gary Kubiak is a game time genius and trend settin' MOFO!:D

This offense is going to take some time to figure out.

Fast and misdirection, did I mention fast?

Oh my, things are going from bad to worse. Three points wouldn't help too much, but the kicker even missed the 40 yard FG.

This game is going to take 4 hours to finish. Hopefully they'll start ours on espn2 or move this one over. :\

Just checked, and it's also going to be available on WatchEspn and espn3 online, if you have access to it.

Pretty wild. Philadelphia comes out on their opening drive, on the road, and stymie the Washington defense on their way all the way down the field. Turns out they fumble the lateral deep in Redskins territory and it goes the other way for six.

Element of surprise, gone. Anticipated lead, gone. Momentum, gone. All that work and you have a 7-0 deficit to a team that hasn't even run a play yet.

Now look at them.

I'm going to try and remember this game if the Texans stumble out of the gate. :texflag:

This offense is fast..

Fixed for you....they have ridiculous speed at all the skill positions ..they could kill any defense with that....let alone with an offense that noone has seen on the pro level....

On a side note... RG3's performance is single-handedly killing 1 of my fantasy teams....and helping me move into position to possibly win the other...

Per the Skins game, ours is officially pushed to 10:25 Eastern Time so far.

Could be more..this game has a lot of life left in it, and over 10 minutes on the clock.

With all the passing from the 'Skins' offense, you're right, could be pushed back longer.

But hey, no one in any of the "important" markets wants to watch the Texans vs. the Chargers anyway
