Has this chart been updated since the rookie wage scale was implemented? Because if it hasn't then I would say that it is useless.
The picks at the top have become way more valuable now, because the risk of a bad pick has been lowered. A bust at the top will still hurt, but not to the tune of $60 million.

No, it has not & yes, you make a very valid point. The price of a blue chip franchise player @ any position just went higher. At the same time a premium continues for General Managers who can pull starting caliber talent with lesser, cheaper picks via superior scouting & talent evaluation.
