I am pretty happy with the projections so far and i am glad to see Deangelo Williams in the #5 spot, he is an amazing talent and has been underrated in Memphis IMO.

Kind of interesting that they have Greenway going 7th to the Bears. Couple of things. I think the Bears would end up picking higher than that (2-4), and imagine the speed at LB with Urlacher and Greenway. Wow!

Its way to early to say that though. Everyone in the NFL has the same record right now. Each year there is always a team that surprises and comes out of nowhere. The Panthers did it a couple of years back, the Chargers did it last year, the Texans could do it this year. I dont think its a good idea to concede a season that hasnt even started yet. At this point the Texans have as much chance as anyone of winning the superbowl: 1in 32.

I honestly think we will end up with about the 18-20th pick and will have to trade up (and probably at a higher price than usual) to draft one of these premier tackles.

I have no problem giving up a 2007 1st rounder (plus a mid to late rounder if needed) in order to trade up to select a top 10 LT. It sounds like a lot, but compared to the mess that position (among others) has caused, I think it's well worth the possibility of finding that player who could solidify the position for years to come.

There are what about 3-4 other guys that are "can't miss" quality like Winston, McNeil, and Scott? I think there might be a run on these guys in the early teens. We should be able to get one of these 3 if we draft around 10-12. Knowing the Texans, though, they will grade one of these guys way above the others. Who knows where we will have to end up to get THAT guy. I have no idea who THAT guy is. I often scratch my head when it comes to the Texan's preferences, so I won't even venture a guess.

Here is mine. The Texans do not need to trade up to get a offensive tackle that could help them out even if they do pick in the early 20's. Other than Marcus McNeil & D'Brickashaw Ferguson, both Winston & Scott could still be available and if not there is still a couple very good prospects in Andrew Whitworth, 6065 330 LSU & Ryan O'Callaghan, 6070 365 California. Of the two the Texans preference would probably be Whitworth because he is accomplished at the left tackle position. so there here you go the next 1st round pick of the Texans, I'm going to be overly positive here with the 23rd selection in the 2006 draft the Houston Texans select-
Tremendous physical specimen who has been considered one of the top linemen in the country for the past two seasons ... A preseason All-America selection at offensive tackle entering the 2005 season ... Rated as the nation's third-best offensive tackle going into 2005 by The Sporting News ... With the current state of the Texans O-line and the lack of a Solid TE , I could easily see another 7-9 or worse season . The O-line could get it together and surprise us all .... which is what we all hope but if they dont its gonna be a long year :brickwall

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure Oakland received our 2nd Round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft as well as one of our two 3rd Round picks in the 2005 NFL Draft in exchange for Buchannon. We have all our picks for the 2006 NFL Draft as well as an extra 3rd Round pick that we got from New Orleans for trading down to 16.
