Mixon is THE running game. If he's out for the playoffs, so are the Texans. I don't think the Texans can beat the Chiefs with no running game, just like they won't beat anyone in the playoffs without him.

Makes no sense having 3-4 rb spots on the roster if you’re only going to use 1 smh. I will give the Texans a 10% chance of beating the chiefs with little to no run game. The keys to defeating them will be taking what the defense gives us and when the deep ball opportunity presents itself, you take it. Also have to play discipline. No goofy roughening the passer calls or other stuff.

Took Slowik 13 weeks to understand getting 2-3 yards is important the first 2 plays so you’ll have a better chance on 3rd downs. Seemed like for the first time in forever, we had multiple 3rd and shorts in the Miami game. I’m not to sure if Green is going to start because Slowik thinks the run game will open up with him but I give us a 0 chance to win if he is starting

The disrespect our defense is getting is ridiculous. I hope Mahomes gets broke in two pieces (not literally, but you know what I mean). Sooo tired of the schlobbing all over this chiefs team.

AS long as they break his ankle I dont care what the refs think or do. This will change the NFL playoffs for the better. Tell me more about the Swifties showing up at Arrowhead minus Mahomes.

"He did look good out there,'' Reid said. "He moved around pretty good. So, you're always looking to make sure they can get out the way, not to further any harm to them. So that's what I look at.

Collins and Mixon are the only 2 guys DC's worry about. Gotta have those 2 healthy in he playoffs.
 
I love how this defense plays. Hard hitting and never shows quit. I think that’s how you defeat Mahomes if the refs are going to cater to him. Smash him in his mouth with old school football. F the penalties, send a message for the playoffs in the future

That fool is from Texas. He almost went undrafted and might have been had it not been for the Houston Texans. He went three years without a sack. And now he wants to talk trash about the team that threw him a lifeline?

A bench player who's about to be a free agent and has underperformed his contract (6.740 million guaranteed, 3 tackles, 0 sacks), should not be disparaging the team that gave him a shot. It doesn't look good on a resume.

Our defense seems to show the persona of Demeco Ryans. I also think the offense shows the persona of Slowick.
 
IF the Texans can go out a dominate against KC I might... might get excited for the playoffs.

IF you pull your head out and play like you belong at the end of the year I can ignore how sloppy you looked getting there.

I still don't expect much.... but please go out there and beat them so bad that Taylor Swift has to do a cover of "What's Love Got To Do With It" with how badly they beat her girlfriend.

I will never cease to want it...tis the seasons for miracles they say.

IF Charlie Brown can convince the world that it is indeed a beautiful Christmas tree... then... tis the season Meco and company can convince the world we have a really real professional football team.

Of course, Lucy will still pull the football away.... leading omce again to disappointment.... the Texans will likely do the same.

But I am growing tired of KC and more so their celebrity endorser..... so... if the Texans want to give me something that isn't of monetary value.... dominate the Chiefs and beat the Ravens on Christmas day.

Of course he did. The annual Mahomes ref sympathy limp going into the playoffs is right on schedule.

The Christian Harris DNP concerns me. But I have confidence that whoever plays LB for the Texans will be ready thanks to the coaching staff’s track record on that side of the ball.

My main worry is that Kenyon Green gets re-inserted into the lineup and Howard shifts back over to LG.

If Green was reactivated to be a backup then fine. But his time as a starting option has ended. The team cannot waste valuable time to get the best OL configuration we’ve had all season gelling before the playoffs. And Fisher needs the reps at RT so he’s ready to be hit the ground running as a full time starter in 2025.

Find your best pass blocking line, agree its probably Howard at LG, Fisher at RT, and get reps going into the post season and get CJ comfortable again. Then hope they can run a little and we avoid snow in Buffalo or such. If KG plays again I will be disgusted. He almost single handedly broke our QB
 
No matter what happens, we just need to stay healthy. The Texans are the type of team that can straight up lose horribly because of dumb mistakes. They can also mess around and end up in the AFC Championship because you just never know which version of the Texans will show up week to week.

I'm down with wishing & hoping, but to make it the deciding factor in anything is a little delusional. This is not a dominating team. Dominating defense at times. If you mean "If the Texans defense dominate the Chiegs offense" or "If the Texans defense dominate the game." I'm with you.

But that offense... well, I mean you can take longer bathroom breaks or flip the chicken on the grille.
 
These next two games are opportunities to prove we have what it takes to contend this season. The evidence up to this point, especially offensively, shows we aren't quite there yet. If there ever was a time to start "getting hot" at the right time today's game would be a nice place to begin.
