i say we wait until the draft to at least make predictions

if you're really good, you dont need to wait for nothin.

I say chad stanley and jerome mathis lead our high-powered special teams unit to an underwhelming five to six wins.

If you're really good then you wait up until the final day before the season, evaluate the final team, the team's schedule, the division, the conference, the coaching staff, and then you make your prediction

no way. that's a fool's game. the real money is in early betting. you've gotta be totally psychic and wise like me to pull it off though.
:violin :sumo:  lol:

Geewhiz, its just a prediction. We'll have another poll after draft, and another after FA, and another after spring training, and another just before preseason, and another just after preseason, and so on and so on and so on.

Better than the endless YOUNG V. BUSH debate, no?

Maybe 5-7 wins, bcuz they have alot of needs & if Kubes & company can do well in free agency & draft ( pls don't blow this one)!:twocents: Also if Carr can get himself 2gether & blow up as a qb. And if not, expect another 2 or 4 wins, & along wit alot of unhappy, mutinous fans in h-town.

last year people were predicting playoffs, and if the team stays very much the same I think it can reach at least .500 now under a different most likely better coaching staff, which I beleive was the biggest reason for last year

:homer: All I can say is take Vince Young and Reggie Bush. Well heres hoping. Any ways im guessing with the new coaching staff maybe close to the playoffs.

Right now I say 4-6 wins just because we are playing the nfc east (correct me if im wrong) and I think the eagles will rebound, redskins and giants will improve even more, and teh cowgirls will be competitive. Depending upon how our offseason goes...maybe 7 or 8 if we really are smart.

1st thought is 10+ with the coaching changes and based on what they are saying. Howeve, until we begin to see players on the field and working out it will be hard to judge. This is a transition season. It could be spectacular, however. I like the blend of coaches so far. We will just have to wait and see. I believe our weakness, as this year, will be defense. Look for big things offensively. On the offensive side of the ball the thing that worries me most is the WR coach. I would prefered to see someone young in coaching, but long in the tooth as far as receiving goes. Example would be Jerry Rice. I worry about the technique required to be a receiver. Our WR's have shown little in reality and that includes AJ. He is simply not where he should be. You could say the same of Carr, but we do have enough coaching to cover him, but I'm less than certain about the WR's. If they don't have the skills then what Carr does matters not.

I think 9-7 or 10-6 is very realistic with our new staff the o is gonna be 100 times better and our d when you factor in the young guys is two players away from being a top flight unit!

Get rid of Marcus (I don't like to hit) Coleman!

too early for this, lets do this after FA has at least started.

We can do another before FA, another post-draft, and finally one more right after the preseason. Then we can average the results, and chart any trends we might see.

6-10....if we're lucky.

I've got confidence that Kubiak can turn this thing around, but he's no miracle worker. I figure he'll need a season just to implement his schemes, obtain players, and allow the players to absorb it. 2007 season should be the one that really starts to bear froot from the coaching change.

Of course I hope I'm wrong and we have our first winning season in 2006, but I don't set myself up for unrealistic expecations these days.

I really think 6-7 wins, so I went conservative and picked 4-6. We have a tough schedule (NFC East) and a were in the bottom 3 in offense and defense. We are switching to a different scheme on defense and will have some massive changes on both sides of the ball. While I think we will be competitive, I think we will just be back to 2003-2004 play in 2006. The only hope of proving me wrong is if some of the players really jump up from their previous play.

i went 7-10. i'm thinking 6 or 7 wins with the new coaching staff, but that prediction will probably go up or down a couple games after draft & preseason cuts.

6-10 at best.

I believe Kubes will improve the team and acquire better talent w/ help from better talent evaluators that are now w/ the team. However, we were 2-14 and even w/ improvement, that will not translate into more than six wins this next season. When we'll be acquiring new rookie players, have new coaches, have new offensive and defensive schemes being implemented, etc....it'll take 2-3 yrs to reach playoffs.
