Next 7 Games Present Positive Oppurtunity

Okay, so our Houston Texan football team is going through a rather sluggish time phase, at 1-8. However, we can't do anything about those previous games. We can do something about the next ones, starting with Kansas City on Sunday Night.

This Houston team has a true fighter's mentallity. Their a smart football team as well. I still believe we have talent and good leadership from Dom Capers. Those are obviously positive attributes.

Let's try and make these last 7 games the best ones ever, in attempt to turn our season around, making it one to remember. All fans on board, go Texans!

:texflag: NEVER QUIT, WE WILL ALWAYS FIGHT!

what kind of medication are you on? your either on something or work for the Texans PR dept. I have team pride just like everyone else, but you have to realize when somethings over....

yeah i would'n be surprised if the texans lost all the rest of their games and i'm surprised they won the one they did. This team is bad. Not only do we have a lack of talent, but the less than adequate coaching staff doesen't know how to use the sparse talent we do have

Agreed, this season is pretty much down the drain, but why are you getting down on someone who's optimistic? Just because we're having a bad season is no reason to get down on our own team. Like he said, NEVER QUIT, ALLWAYS FIGHT!

As always, TexansAllTheWayBaby, I appreciate your optimism. :thumbup

1-8 = "sluggish phase", 'eh? Alrighty. It's certainly a perspective.

But I agree with you about Sunday night. We can start a winning attitude that can carry through to next season (regardless of who's head coach).

This Sunday is about US, the fans, and the PLAYERS. And we have a chance to inspire, motivate, and show our love and respect for the TEAM by showing up 70,000+ strong and being the rabid 12th man that we can be. It's about PASSION, and this is our chance to show our true fanatic side to the entire nation.

We have plenty of time to express our various opinions and displeasures to the organization (if that's your thing).

We have this Sunday to show the team that we know they are on PRIMETIME and they are not alone.

LOUD, PROUD, & TEXAN! :texflag:

ps. yeah yeah whatever on the rest of your post. ;) (j/k!)

If we end up drafting 7th or some crap like that I will be one pissed off camper.

The Texans have a dog of a schedule the rest of the way. 3-4 wins is a very likely outcome. I think this would put the Texans about 5th or 6th.

You always hear about Arrowhead Stadium being the toughest place to play because of fan involvement. It would be nice to show the national TV audience how boisterous Reliant Stadium can be. I'll be there cheering loudly, as always! :texflag:

Who should we draft that we would need a pick higher than the 6-8 range? We need to end this season on a positive note and we don't need to have a top 3 pick in the draft to fill our needs for next season. Look how that loss to Cleveland at the end of last year started this downward spiral. We need a positive end this year to start some positive momentum going into next season.

News flash. This team has already quit. Smart? Good leadership? talent? fighters mentality? Is it possible you were in the movie Blast from the past, or maybe you are on the Island in Lost, because none of these descriptions is fitting.

I'm just going to point out a few facts:

1) We only have 2 more opponents with winning records on our schedule.

2) 1 of those losers we already lost to rather convincingly, the Titans.

3) We have only had a lead for 24 minutes 58 seconds out of a possible 540 minutes, 7:08 in our win against the Browns and 17:50 in our loss to the Jags.

4) We have 3 offensive linemen out with injuries, 2 for the season.

5) We have a gimpy starting HB; however we have our original rushing leader Wells as our 1st backup and 2 other reasonably high draft picks behind him who just can't seem to push the other 4th round pick, Wells, out of his job.

6) We have 2 gimpy WRs, one with a sore calf, the other a bad hamstring, so we have activated another WR from the practice squad whom no one has heard about as we waived Sloan Thomas and Swinton.

Realistically, how many games are we going to win of our next 7?

:yahoo: yep win the last game lose all the rest.........positive ending and we get reggie bush
