New High Power Offense

Texanfannick

Practice Squad
Ok so we take Young #1 ok thats fine then before we do anything else is that we deal Carr now (Carr is a top QB when he has time but Young is just a playmaker) i have read a few people idea what we could get for carr and the fact is that we cant get anything better than a 2nd round pick but from who there are a few teams that need a starting QB and 1 i can think of is the Lions i think we could get a 2nd and 4th round pick the we have to high pick in round 2 so we take offensive linemen hopefully LT and we need another RB who could be explosive if Davis is hurt and guess who that is Bush's friend White who i think he is a better back, he has speed and power Bush is more of a speed to the outside which would be good for us with are oline problems but with Young, Davis, White, and Johnson will give us a high power offense with few picks on defense hopefully LB a good one that should be are 3rd round pick so this alot but what do u all think????

Sorry to burst your bubble but the top execs have said that Carr is the man at QB. We need to beef up that line so David Carr can get more blocks and FINALLY fix his mistakes. Hopefully Kubiak can turn him into a future Hall of Famer. Only time will tell.

Not the most reputable source, but a New York paper was suggesting the Texans could get a mid-late first rounder for Carr today. Carr would definitely fetch a #2.

Well he's no Peyton Manning, John Elway, or Terry Bradshaw but he could very well be. I know the idea is far fetched. He just needs the right kind of line and a few more targets to throw to out there. A good TE would be nice. His favorite target for the first couple of years was Billy Miller if I remember correctly.

drafting young would make andre johnson fly out of here once his contract is up:superman:

had texas had a different qb, roy williams would of been the #1 pick in 04

this team does'nt need vince....
he had a heck of a game at the rosebowl. i wish him the best in new orleans:ok: :twocents:

Why am I not suprised? I guess the avitar has something to do with it. Don't get me wrong I like VY also but the Texans don't need him. The higher ups in the Houston office have Carr has the franchise QB. Just give David Carr that dream line and a TE to pass to and he will shine.

could'nt of said it better:ok:

Sorry to burst your Bubble go lower on your standards like well he's no
trent dilfer, Brad johnson, or Vinny testaverde.

Vince Young is no trent dilfer, Brad Johnson, or Vinny Testaverde..

Vince Young is no Simms, no Henson, no Eli Manning..

Vince Young isnt even a Dave Ragone.

Vince young hasnt played a down in the NFL..and Vince Young has bad mechanics and all of his QB experience comes from a system that is as far from the NFL as you can get.

Vince Young is a guy with a lot of raw talent..and little useful training. Vince Young is a project and if we did draft him he would not be able to start.

Vince Young is not what the Texans need. If we did draft Vince Young.. by the time we were rebuilt and ready to compete for real.. we would have lost some of our drafted talent like Andre Johnson and Dunta Robinson.. We would be considered a team on the same level as the Cardinals and Saints.. perrenial losers.

Im sorry but that is the truth as I see it. Vince Young would require us to start over. I dont want to start over. 1 season ago we were 7-9 and looking like a team on the rise... We are bringing in a new staff.. we are fixing our problems.. we are going to get some new talent in the places we have been needing it. Last season..in my mind..doesnt count. That was a necessary evil to get this coaching staff out of here. I think this team is definatly salvagable. We still have a core of strong young talent. By the time Vince Young came into his own.. our strong young talent would be expensive veteran talent that we need to start thinking about replacing.

God please dont let us take Vince Young.

eh.. well..maybe not quite expensive veteran talent. I figure Young is a 4 year project. 2 on the bench..2 starting.. before he becomes either a superstar or a superbust. in 4 years Johnson will be in his 7th season.. Robinson in his 6th. So .. they would be about "average".. with 3 or 4 more seasons in them.

Carr had 4 years with an expansion team. He should get another chance.
