New ESPN Article about Texans and loss of Coaching Control...err, I mean lions

gtexan02

Working?
OK so this about the Lions, but it is also really about the Houston Texans. Check this out:

the Lions were to be run over by the Rams in their final preseason game.
Replace Lions with Texans and Rams with Buccannears

The Lions are the NFL's sorriest franchise and there is no excuse for it. Not with a state-of-the-art stadium and a first-class facility
Replace Lions with Texans

And the disarray in Detroit starts not with the quarterback who, no matter what the coaching staff does to help, can't get it right or the receivers who just don't get it, but with the coach whose job it is to keep it together and the exec who hired him. If the Lions players seem like they're out of control it's because -- word around the campfire is -- Steve Mariucci doesn't have control. Maybe he never had it to begin with. Funny thing about control: You never realize how little of it you had until you have none at all.
Once again, replace Lions with Texans and Mariucci with Dom Capers

If it's true you play how you practice, then what we're seeing on Sundays from the Lions is a reflection of what they're doing, or not doing, from Monday to Saturday. That is 100 percent on the head coach.
Once again, Lions with Texans...

Anyway, the article goes on to criticize Harrington's ability to play call, the lack of effort of the team, the lack of responsibility that Mariucci and Millen are taking for the horrible excuse for the franchise. Sound familiar? Interesting...heres the full article...sort of makes you feel better about the Texans...but only a little

You just stole 1 minute of my life. You decided to post an article about the Lions but putting your take that the two are the same.

Sooo...if I want to post an article about dumb Raider fans, I just need to insert your name?

Brutal...perhaps. But I'm tired of these people with half-witted takes on the Texans' status.

I hear OLYMPIC CURLING needs a few more fans. Have at it.

:ok:

What do you mean "Half-witted takes on the Texan's status."? Would you not agree that at the current moment, we are the worst franchise in the NFL? We have had four years, true, but we have improved to 7-9 and then regressed all the way back to expansion status. How is this half-witted? I would think that all this talk about hope and about how true fans cheer no matter how bad their team is, is the real half-witted one showing up. I may have wasted 1 minute of your life, but the Texans have wasted 4 years of Carr's life. The Texans wasted 3 hours of my life last Sunday. And just as much as I didn't make you read this, they didn't make me watch. But I wanted to because I see a chance if a simple coaching change can take place. The Lions, Vikings, and Texans all have one thing in common---Talented, underachieving players who can't or won't play for their current HC.

I enjoyed the expansion year much more than this year, such are honeymoons unless you get it right, now the organization needs to file divorce from its football people and look for new partners :texflag:
