New England

I will also be attending the game. Any plans to invade a bar the night before the game? I was also in Chicago and invading two bars was a fun experience. Is anyone tailgating? We will be sitting in Section 135 Row 2.

Yeah it was fun invading Timothy O' Tooles in Chicago. We'll be sitting in Sec. 131 row 2. Hope to meet up with everyone.

I will be at the game with a friend of mine- section 130, row 4. We arrive Saturday and plan on sightseeing sat and sun and are open for suggestions on meeting places with other fans. We also reserved spots on the Bowl Bus. Should be a fun weekend!!

***Update*** A group of 20+ Texans fans will be meeting at the Paul Revere monument on Sunday, December 9th @ 4 pm. Let's draw a big crowd for a great photo op.I was there at Millennium Park, now it's time to invade a Boston spot. "If you call them, they will come." Lol!! :)

Many thanks Mimayer1985! :) It would be great to meet up at a local bar Sunday afternoon as well as Sunday evening for football. Channel 13 news showed up at our meet up location in Chicago. It was quite an experience. Also, Stephanie Stradley from the Houston Chronicle will also update the final itinerary details on her chron blog.

Also to those who want in on the FB page. Send me a friend request on FB name is Michael Matthew Mayer. After I accept your friend request ill add you to the FB page

Anyone staying at the Marriott Copley Place in Back Bay????

Searching for a single game ticket. If anyone has one let me know. Would like to sit with other texans rather than be a single in a sea of pats fans

Great idea! Just FYI, sunset is about 4:10 these days do it may be a little dark for a photo. I can't be at the game but if love to meet y'all
at the monument. The best pastry spot in Boston is close by (Mikes)

I'm heading up Saturday - visiting a college roommate in Maine before heading to Boston. Definitely want to meet up and should have done this before the Jets game. Playing Bulls on Parade as loud as possible in a manhattan bar was fun to me...
Sending a request for the FB page...thanks.

According to the blog, the consensus is to wear battle red Jerseys to Monday night game. Would be sweet to see a sea of Red or at least a good portion..

Looking at weather.com, doesn't appear that it will be too cold either.

Lets go Texans!!!!

Glad to see there will be fellow fans at Gillette Monday!

Some of you may know I live in the area so if anyone has any questions please let me know. I'm sitting in section 30. Do those of you staying in Boston know about the train that runs to Foxboro?

Please note. The blog post has been updated with changes to the brewery tour plans + adding Saturday SantaCon activities. If you are going to SantaCon, you are supposed to be wearing something head to toe festive. They have Santa suits at Walgreens for about $15.00 and then you can Texan it up. Texans Claus! (I have a pic of one of my festive outfits at the blog).

Unofficial guide to Texans fan meetups in Boston – UPDATED

Take some copies of the blog post with you on the plane. You will always run into fans who don't know the plans. We try our best to spread them around, but some fans are not web peoples.

Hey Darlin', I've not been keeping up with things I've should've been but I did see where you tweeted for Pats fans to not be a-holes towards to visiting Texans fans.......

That's not necessarily gonna hapen though... Many of the Patriots fans that visited our fair city for Super Bowl XXXVIII - (Caraolina v. Patriots) were rude, aggressive and very disparaging of the city of Houston.... May they go **** themselves and I will never hold a mutual respect for the pieces of ****!!!!

Thank you Super Bowl XXXIII for exposing these POS people, errr supposed fans!!

Yes, earlier in this thread I implied that the SantaCon festivities would be in downtown Boston. MAY NOT NECESSARILY BE THE CASE! Be sure to read TexanChick's blog posting on SantaCon activities and click on the links she provided.

I am driving down from New Hampshire today to see the Texans take on the Pats. I have two extra tickets and am at a point where I am almost willing to give them a way....but, you have to be a Texans Fan. My wife and son decided that sitting in a stadium where the temp is around 35 degrees is more than they can bear. Let me know. My e-mail address is njmatt@ymail.com. or text me at 281-733-9423.

It was great meeting a lot of you folks at the CBS Scene on Monday Night.
The Pats fans were great at the bar but the ones where we were sitting started out as nice folks but turned into total Jerkwads by the end of the night.
I'm hoping for some revenge in January!!!

I knew Patriots fans were asshats in general (other than those who had posted here talking honest football talk) when they were here for the Super Bowl v. the Carolina Panthers.... Panthers fans were way cooler!! Patriots fans were ignorant, obtuse and generally rude.... Then again, living up there (AND YES, I have been there) I can understand why they are so miserable..

Ironically, that same season the Texans played the Super Bowl Champs to overtime and had beat their opponent (the Panthers that season)!!!

************

As an aside.... I really need to get a life in the sense that I remember all that!! FML!!!

Yes, CBS was amazing. Even the bar staff were commenting that they had never seen that many opposing fans in the bar before. Met a lot of great people.

One big observation is that it seems the average age of a Pats ticket holder at Gillette is 10-15 years younger than Texans ticket holders at Reliant. Lots of young, drunk "frat-type" Pats fans yelling racist chants to some of Texans fans sitting in the next section over from me and that made for a miserable time. But the Texans fans kept it classy and ignored them....though it didn't shut them up.

Curiosity begs this question - what kind of racist chants? I make yankee jokes but I can't think of a racist joke for New England. Well other than Texan_Bill.

It was young drunk Pats fans yelling at a group of Hispanic Texans fans in the next section....I don't even want to repeat some of the things they said. I thought New England was supposed to be a "progressive, enlightened" area of the country, but their hillbillies showed up at Gillette last night.

Enough said. Wouldn't want you to repeat them. That is sad and I am sure/would hope not indicative in general.

I have spent a lot of time in Boston and folks grown and raised there do have some funny ideas about southerners. Racism wasn't one.

Goodmorning BOP. Lets go home with a smile on our face, yes it's a tough loss. Still had a great time representing our TEXANS in Boston. Lets please don't show any disrespect and arrogance like we were treated at the game. Been to most of the away games and I must say these were by far the most disrespectful fans to us women. I know our fans at home have more CLASS!!!! C u Sunday. Woohoo. Love my TEXANS!!!

Got this off of facebook and it is absolutely a reason not to spend our money there.

Same Here...
Had fun in Boston but damn the fans are brutal... All i can say is that the staff at the stadium was no help at all. I was sitting alone and there were 4 of them messing with me... it took a whole lot not to act like an A** but i just had to move from my seat....

Arrogance is Ignorant !!!

I'm surprised anybody gave you trouble and that the staff wouldn't help. The Patriots are very strict about this sort of thing and have a no tolerance policy. If you get in trouble you will be banned from going to games and if you're a season ticket holder that means you lose your rights to those tickets.

As far as racial slurs there's no excuse for it so I won't make any. They should have been bounced no questions asked.

A couple of the local radio hosts were talking yesterday afternoon how a lot of the Houston fans acted like yahoo's at CBS Scene in particular. I kind of rolled my eyes when they said it because your fans have been so cool here and on the Pats boards. Maybe just a case on both side of 5% of the people giving everybody a bad name.

Disappointed to hear about the negative experiences. Boston fans are arrogant -- I guess they have a reason to be. Winning so many titles makes you pretty confident. At the same time, there's a big difference between arrogance and ass hattery.

I've been to a few red sox games and have never witnessed any aggressive fans. I've even been to the Red Sox/Yankees game twice. Then again, the Sox have been awful both times so it may just have been a case of humbled silence

I enjoy trash talking, joking around, etc. Serious insults, racist comments, threats are too much. I have zero respect for anyone who takes a game so seriously. I don't get the mentality. You aren't a player. You aren't a coach. You being there has almost zero impact on anything. Why take it so personally?
Anyone who crosses the line from entertainment or makes another fan feel legitimately scared/nervous should be kicked out.

When were we acting like yahoos. Everyone there said we were the coolest bunch of fans. Saw a few pats fans getting kicked out. I made everyone around me laugh there asses off for a majority of the game and shook all their hands afterwards

Good for you!! That's awesome that you had an overall good experience with Pats fans!!

I pretty much gave up on Pats (save / sans a few) after the Super Bowl here in Houston... They were asshats!!! I promise! I have no respect for Patriots fans other than those (all 2) that I know and love!

1. He's a Texan fan over his beloved Pattsies, and

2. His cousin Stacy that I love very much!

The rest of the Pats fans?? SUCK IT!!!!

How long did your team suck and was considered futile???? Ummm nearly 30 maybe 40 years before y'all made it to the SB and prompltly got your asses kicked against the Bears, costing me $ 150.00 because someone gave me 17 points?

When they were here for that superbowl I ran into some of the MOST obnoxious Pats fans. These guys when walking down the street will shove someone out of their way if they don't think you're moving fast enough. I almost got into it with some guy in a pimpsuit.

Shut down TexansTalk, hell maybe even shut down the internet. It is all downhill from here; this sentence can never be topped. Please tell me you have pics and/or video of this.
