National Championship Game Thread- Texas vs. Bama

LOL at Alabama fans, if Alabama wins this game it will be a championship with a question mark in most peoples minds. Obviously they get the trophy for winning, but would have had there ass handed to them if Colt stayed in. That was eveident by the first series. If Garret stays enjoy your national championship against what is basically a high school QB.

I still love watching the Ags & the MOB. Seeing both at Rice stadium years ago was a real treat.
 
The Longhorns called time out with less than 30 seconds left to call a shuttle pass from their own 40 yard line? What in the world?

That was a horrendous play call, and the coaches are to blame, first and foremost.

Unfortunately, if Colt McCoy does not somehow find a way to come back into the game, it does not appear that Texas is likely to be able to muster the offense to come back from 18 points down.

This is not looking promising for the Texas Longhorns.

To be fair, Mark Ingram is a running back extraordinaire. The Texans would be very fortunate to be able to add Mark Ingram to their lineup with a first round pick.

Perhaps, but where is the depth? You mean MAck Brown with the #1 ranked recruiting class da** near every year can't trot out anyone better? LMAO at Mack Brown, not Bama fans.

Texas was actually moving the ball with him and outplaying Alabama. Alabama still hasn't been able to move the ball through the air and started to move the ball once the defense got worn down.

Texas would probably win with Colt, but we'll never know.

Agreed, but it's an awfully small sample of plays you're basing that off of (not to mention the short field that Bama gave the Horns).

Not saying he isn't just saying that UT's #1 ranking for run defense was fool's gold.
 
Why not have Chiles come in at QB and go back to the zone read offense? Can't possibly be worse than throwing a true freshmen out there to the wolves.
 
On a side note....it absolutely drives me crazy to see people wearing shades at night...(VY). Shades are for blocking out the sun dumb ass!

Looks like they're trying to make up for that with re-telling the tales of McElroy's Dad & Jerry Jones (he's family, etc.).
 
So is the game over yet.....I already turned it off. I'm watching my own bowl game, the "bud bowl". We'll see who wins, me or the beer.
