Anyone care to look at this thread for just a bit? It kinda made me laugh. On second thought, it made me laugh so hard I woke my little girl up. From three months ago Carr goes from that to what we have now.

New coach Gary Kubiak, meanwhile, raved about Carr again on Friday, saying his skills are ideal for the system he ran as the offensive coordinator in Denver the past 11 seasons. The Broncos ranked fifth in total offense in 2005.
There actually are several Teams that would pick up David Carr is a heart beat. Most coaches are high on him, love his potential and think he would be great if he got protection.kbourda said:http://www.houstontexans.com/fan_zone/messageboards/showthread.php?t=14572

I agree. I too, think that Carr is a very good QB. Afterall, he's had to learn the one step drop and pass play. (or get dropped) I am really hoping that we can privide alot better protection for him this year. It goes without saying, or OL sucks! Carr is alot like the old Timex commercials. He takes a licking and keeps on ticking.LBC_Justin said:There actually are several Teams that would pick up David Carr is a heart beat. How good is Carr? I don't really know. He shows flashes of brilliance at times but with that O-line who can really tell. Most coaches in the NFL probably think they could make him a star QB. Don't believe all the Anti-Carr crack rock that John McClain is pushing. That guy has a strong Agenda.

I'm still thinking we should have done 2 years but oh well, they love him. Hopefully he will improve greatly and make me eat crow.

DISCLAIMER: Not a Carr love/hater. There are major question marks on DC right now, and nobody can really deny that. The only way he'll ever get that monkey off his back is to prove it wrong on the field. He's probably got about 32 games to show what he's got, and of course, I'm hoping he does simply because we just signed him to an $8 million/3 year deal.
