My Keys to beating the Arizona Cardinals

Okay, our Houston texans still have alot of pluses to accomplish yet this season, inlcuded having our longest winning streak in franchise history, 3. It starts with a battle with the Arizona Cardinals.

Here is what I feel our Texans must do to pull this one out vs. Arizona:

-Establish a solid running game early and use it often. Domanick Davis has been playing tremndously well in previous games, lets see what he can do this Sunday

-On defense, make big plays on 3rd down. We made improvements in doing this last week vs. Tennessee. We need to continue to be consistent, and stop our oppenents on 3rd down situations, whether 3rd and short or 3rd and long.

-Good speical teams. Nice punts, good field goals, no penalties. We were rather sluggish in this area last week, and I look foward to seeing improvements this week.

Fans please continue to cheer us on, whether your at the game or at home. A true Texans fan would. I will be cheering for them enthusiastically. Remember, a lot can still be accomplished this year in terms of winning our next games.

Go Texans!

The Texans Demolition Crew will be there, loud & proud! :texflag:

I agree with you, on offense we need to establish the run early. Get first downs in the first drive instead of a quick 3 and out. Once the line establishes a rythm for the running game, go deep just to keep the D in check. Never know, a quick strike like this could give us an early lead (not something we're used to this season).

I think our defense needs to be a little more aggressive, mixing blitzes from various angles in order to disrupt any flow that Warner might get into. And I'd like to see two things that have been in short suppy: turnovers and sacks (both in the same play would be might welcomed).

I'd like to see Mathis return another kickoff. That's always an exciting event, especially at a home game. Our offense needs to focus on getting at least a couple of first downs every drive, so at least Stanley can pin them deep. If the Cards have a lousy average starting field position the entire game, our defense can work to take advantage of it. And, of course, Chris Brown needs to make a couple of field goals after last weeks debacle.

Anyway, I think we can win this one, too. We've had three extremely close games the past three weeks, but our guys need to play hard out of pride and bring it regardless of what this season has been and what might happen on January 02.

See y'all there! :howdy:

Go Texans!

This area should be paid special attention to, as much as like Antwan Peek and his intensity level the coaches need to have a talk with him and help him keep his emotions under control during these key downs. I like his fire and his drive!

I also think Mathis will have a KR for a score...the guy is Awesome!

Wish I could be there, heck I wish I could watch it at home...it's blacked out again in the Austin area, I will be heading to a sports bar...and will be the only Texan fan in the whole place, Again.

Will the Cards forfeit the game?

Well, you asked what it would take for the Texans to win!:sarcasm:

I don't know if this falls into the "key to winning" category, but I have a feeling Dre is going to get a lot of balls thrown his way tomorrow. We really need to get a second offensive weapon involved.

Is DD even playing tomorrow? That is the key to the game.
I think the key will be keeping Warner, Boldin and Fitzpatrick from destroying what the Texans call a secondary.

we are finally going to see Dunta againts a good receiver the whole game. no way we stop that dangerous tamdem of receivers.:twocents: but thats a good thing.

Offense--- PASS BLOCK... find the TE... take the 8th man out of the box. DD up the middle. Get the ball to AJ

Defense-- BLITZ... and dont stop... Let our LB's dominate. Put Warner on his @ss. Hope Sanders/petty faggins can handle a #2 WR
